Yesterday at church, I heard Fernando Ortega for the very first time! I have been a Christian for many years but have only lived in the USA for 3 and a half years. I didn't hear of him in the UK. His voice is so beautiful and it's sound goes straight to my heart and I immediately begin to weep. Fernando's wonderful God-given gifts are balm to the soul and, through the Holy Spirit, give healing to the mind. May our Heavenly Father continue for many years to speak to him through music.

My daughter who died 20 years ago LOVED Fernando Ortega. I have not listented to him since then. My 23 yr old Granddaughter has been looking up Nostalgic Christian music. I told her she had to listen to her Aunty Angel's favorite Christian singer but I forgot his name. For the life of me I searcherd 2 hours. I found him. God Bless everyone hurting today. I've had this happen. I was amazed and so comforted. My computer just suddenly started playing a spiritual song. I don't remember right now what the song was, though.

right after my darling son suddenly died my computer just started playing a song that had so much meaning to me... I was overwhelmed with grief and wasn't paying any attention to the screen when suddenly a song started playing.. my son was severely physically disabled and had little use of his body but he always reacted with joy to music being played .. and one of his favorite groups came on my computer singing a familiar song I recognized, but that I had never heard THEM sing before in all the years of listening to them sing so many songs to his delight... I looked all over the screen to see what APP was playing the song... nothing...and when the song ended nothing else played... the song was by his beloved Chipmunks... [singing along with their pals the Chipettes] and the title was 'We Are Family'... which was so much more endearing to me because my son was adopted... praise GOD for His faithfulness !!!

My favorite is the Breaking of the Dawn because when I was staying far from home taking care of my mother when she was dying, my sister would be driving many miles every other week and there was a place in the Breaking of the Dawn when he refers to letting his mother live long enough for him to hold her once more and that is what my younger sister felt. I love to hear him sing, Be Thou My Vision too.
