I use to listen to the Speer Family back in the day along with the Florida Boys, the Goodman's etc. What glorious days those were and the memories flood my soul. The United States is very Blessed by God. What would we do without our God? This world depends on Him for every breath that we breathe, and He has gifted us with such beautiful singers and Musicians that can comfort us in the most tragic of times. God knew this ahead of us, He knew what it would take to calm a wearied mind and a heart broken by the every day events that get closer and closer to each of our doorsteps in this present world. Allison Durham Speer does such an amazing job on this song and this recording is one of my favorites of hers. We saw her sing it live in Gatlinburg, TN at Family Fest and it was equally as good. The words are just over the top matched with her gifted voice. If you haven't heard her sing "Because He Lives" go over to the Gaither London Homecoming and watch her rendition. It tops all others! To God Be The Glory and may he continue to bless Allison Durham Speer and her musical ministry.

It is so funny the choir looks so serious.. I know that they are concentrating on their sound and harmony.. but.. I make it thru until 5:02 when I see the lady with the white hair.. when she smiles and just shows she is enjoying singing this song.. and believes it.. it makes me sob..
