Is it an experimental lighting device, the subject of New Vision films and photographs, or a motorized kinetic sculpture? One of the most significant works in the Busch-Reisinger Museum’s collection, László Moholy-Nagy’s “Light Prop for an Electric Stage” has expanded our definition of art for 90 years. Here, curators Lynette Roth and Melissa Venator explain the sculpture’s fascinating history and lively presence in our galleries today.
