Watched this years and years ago. Even slept in the same Hotel (The New York Penta Hotel if I'm not mistaken). Epic movie. Love Dana Delany!

To be all alone in this wide world with little to no money is a fate worse than death. It’s amazing what some people will put up with and live with. Just so they don’t have to be alone at night. God, people are disgusting. The vast majority of people, anyway. There are genuinely good kind non-judgmental souls out there. But they seem to be getting harder and harder to find.

0:58 - it's Sam Rockwell (Iron Man 2, Moon, The Green Mile). This movie is quite underrated. Dafoe is a much better actor than Pitt. The latter is a vain poseur.

I don't know exactly when it was that voice overs in trailers became outmoded, but it must have been somewhere around 2008, when Don La Fontaine died, and 2014 after the death of Hal Douglas.

Because Defoe plays realistic characters on the edge Ppl don't want to see that they want to see the safe vanilla characters ppl like Pitt and Tom Cruise play Willem Defoe is and will always be the greatest actor that ever lived he sadly won't be appreciated until he dies

In Schrader ci sono sempre dei momenti e dei dialoghi di una naturalezza impressionante. Il dialogo dopo la visita alla camera mortuaria, con la passante che urta la sorella di Mary Ann. Pazzesco.

It's not a very good film though, so perhaps he did try to cash in on TD. Amazing the difference that the director, composer, actors make. Light Sleeper is a very middling movie almost entirely secondary to TD, practically the same kind of plot.

Of course it's not as good as Taxi Driver, but it's still a solid film. And the plot is absolutely nothing like Taxi Driver's. If you would of actually fucking seen Light Sleeper, you'd know that. It's obvious you haven't, dipshit.
