Imagine this: there are billions of people in the world, most are not special, most will be forgotten. You put out a song or any other piece of work. But you go uncredited, you become a complete unknown and your work, your voice, your face or even a part of your name, are the only proof of your existence. Your only impact on this world. Overtime, your work may be forgotten too. It might be preserved and saved for all to see or fade away into the night, never to be seen, or heard from again. Regardless, your work, what you created, what you made, is the only thing that tells others that you were once alive, that you once existed. Your face, name or even voice may not be known, but your work is remembered, as proof you once existed...

You know that old saying: " you die twice: once, when you take your final breath, second when your name is spoken for the final time"? There should be a third death, that being when everyone forgets what you did in life.

How does a song as lovely as this one is become lost?
@christeena1083 ай бұрын
Found it on a old fourm it's made form a old cassette tape called "legacy" and the song on there is called crazy ladies in gingerbread houses by HAZLEWOOD *grace Griffith and Susan white* there is that. Only one was made never to see the light of the lanterns again.
@davidarkham8716Күн бұрын
No, that was a lead, but the album was published online and did not contain this song. Susan herself even confirmed that this is not a "Hazelwood" song. Still, the Legacy album is awesome, I highly recommend.

LYRICS: She was born on a magic island, there's a certain mythology. I was already on the outside, I wanted to be what I wanted to be. She took me to illumination night to pass on a legacy. Crazy ladies in gingerbread houses, light the lanterns for the shipwreck sailors. Celebrate the homecoming, celebrate the moment when the will to live collides with love. Light the lanterns everyone and pray that the rain won't come. She left me with grace the next year, she went away, I don't know where. Grace got drunk at a Chinese restaurant, so all I saw was the light's extinguishing. But I'm going back on illumination night, to see if I can light the lights. Crazy ladies in gingerbread houses, light the lanterns for the shipwreck sailors. Celebrate the homecoming, celebrate the moment when the will to live collides with love. Light the lanterns everyone and pray that the rain won't come. Crazy ladies in gingerbread houses, light the lanterns for the shipwreck sailors. Celebrate the homecoming, celebrate the moment when the will to live collides with love. Light the lanterns everyone and pray that the rain won't come.
