RandomGuy1994 Try the Long war mod It ups the number of guys you can take on a mission, and with a foundry upgrade can carry 12 or 14 on certain missions. Long war also overhauls the whole game and ups the difficulty.

I didn't have good recruits but when one of my soldiers was too injured and the only survivor, I imagine I went to his room, with Engineering Chief, Scientific Chief and our commander and we all Offering the chance to become a Mecha, so he can avenge his fallen friends and still deep-fisting aliens: he agreed and become one of the best Mechas I ever had. He was the choose to falcon punching one of the Elders while my Best one mind-controlling the Oldest Elder and making him go through a psychic storm. It was poetic and beautiful 😊

Now players must be the one to take Earth piece by piece and it will be the Alien's Job to "defend" their controlled Earth and try to hunt the Player down with their own hunter Jets when back in XCOM enemy unknown it was our job to prevent the Aliens from taking Earth piece by piece and hunt the Aliens down with our own Hunter Jets.

It is a shame that the ranger didn't get a sword in this game. My "Razor" killed 100 aliens in Xcom 2. It is a great feeling to use the reaper ability with the wraith suit... killing aliens like they are insects. The Sniper was the bad mother fucker in the original, in the sequence the Ranger is the grim reaper himself.

My entire life was setup. Its almost as if.... they were. The gaming corporations were in on this. I remember when Resident Evil came out and was actually hard. I had to do something for the first time in my life which was use my brain to think in a video game on the Sony Playstation. Later on when I got older the RE series was ruined too. It wasn't the same. They did it to X-Com too back in the day. I remember in 4th grade playing this staying up all night. I named all my guys after world leaders past and present. Castro was fully equipped with the best gear and I left this playing for like 15 minutes just staring at my squad standing there like bad-asses. I pressed go and was confident my guys would get the job done no trouble. 5 minutes later my whole squad was devoured by Chrysalids and poor Castro was left a mindless zombie. This game is so brutal but so amazing at the same time.

Does anyone else think that maybe for a sequel they should do it in the time period when humanity begins its expansion into space and the XCOM headquarters could be a starship or space station? Imagine missions like responding to an outer colony world that went dark or having headquarters being attacked and boarded or having intense ship to ship combat with alien craft.

Yesterday I completed a terror mission in Ironman Classic. Squad was nothing but S.H.I.V's: 4 Alloy and 2 Hover. Didn't lose a single unit and none of them got even hit. Took down a Sectopod with 3 movements. Of course the plasma upgrade is a MUST HAVE for an uber S.H.I.V. squad to pull it off quickly and painless.

That's why my strategy when seeing Sectiod Commanders is to go all in. Deal as much damage in as short a time as possible, not worrying about cover. If I don't, if I take the route of caution that works against every other enemy, I find myself facing off against my own Assault Colonel equipped with laser shotgun and titan armor.

So after changing up the difficulty loses were running high, I got given a high ranking French Lietenant as a reward for a mission. Worthless ass died like a bitch on his first mission. The lesson here is that everyone is a rookie on their first mission.

LOL. On my first playthrough, I didn't even realize Alloy cannon existed. I was frustrated and confused by the lack of a plasma shotgun. I was under the impression that the Alloy cannon research project was some sort of replacement for the rocket launcher, which I never used, and so never researched.

Yep, if a Mind Controller appears on the field, my Assault Classes hit run 'n' gun, charge up to point blank, then unload with a doubleshot in their face. Whatever counter offensive the aliens mount the following turn, it's gotta be less dangerous than a Titan-armoured Alloy Cannoneer off his leash.

Yeah, I know how you feel. I've seen a Sniper Captain with a laser rifle miss a huge-ass berserker just in shooting distance out in the open, while an Assault squadie was scoring a critical on a closed Cyberdisc with a bloody starter rifle.

Wouldn't say it would be very hard. Keep the first story simple, don't afraid to kill of some characters and develop the survivors into hardened alien killing bad-asses and try and keep it creepy as well. Even have a base attack battle scene.

Every time I got ready for a missiont his fuckin' psyched me up. Lt. Lopez was my man from mission one, and continued to do badass stuff, he was even our best psychic. Greatest soldier ever.
