My husband doesn't understand my obsession with listening to these stories, as he is more pragmatic and interested in history etc, then stories and creepypastas, but I don't mind.. I love these! I'm pragmatic, logical, factual and like history as well. But that's what makes these stories enjoyable. Especially when they're based on historical eras, events and people. It's also fun to run "what if" scenarios and analyze different parts of the story. I love theorizing after reading and listening to Creepypastas. Being a man of reason and logic should actually make these more enjoyable. Sad that your manz can't appreciate them

Wow, what a great story. I'm a huge Cuthulu Mythos fan and love anything even remotely azzarish, and this was plenty. Secret rooms, dusty leather journals, mysterious agencies and many tentacled monsters to say the least . What a great find for us Stephen and you narrated this like it was a duty for you to bare alone. I'm fizzing my friend, fizzing. I'm off for another listen .Congratulations all involved great, works done well. Cheers all, Lee.

You are certainly right about Stephen's narrating! I completely agree. I just gave this another listen. It's truly GREAT. Stephen, you are the best, most talented, best voice on KZbin or anywhere else. This is your calling. It's a great thing we live in the digital age where people want to have someone narrate to them. Imagine all the possibilities there are for you in the field of digital narration. I would say you should work for Audible or Amazon Prime, lol, but I don't know how well Amazon treats anyone they hire. That is a big shame. The wife and I are "Hooked on Lighthouse"... It's very, very, extremely hard to _tolerate_ any other narrator on here... I say that because that is what it feels like when we hear any other CP Narrator or anyone else narrating books, etcetera. We are very much spoiled. Thank you for that though! What you do is art.

I really like the story even though it's terrifying to think about I don't know what I would have done in that situation probably the same thing except hand over the book to the government or just tell them hey I found a secret room. Maybe that's why they raided the place because they're trying to stop it from happening in the future and maybe the man who wrote the book didn't want to help them for whatever reason. Idk I wish there was more to the story.

Lighthouse! It's been a while! I have been unable to listen or to really do anything but try to take my mind off of a family tragedy. I lost my Mother, it's been a rough few months since February... I just now worked myself up to watching Creepypastàs because I really feared hearing horror involving zombie moms or mothers dying in awful ways. She passed from Glioblastoma, a very, if not the most, aggressive brain cancer that makes tumors that look like aliens attached to all of her brain. She had THE best healthcare! My dad is an Internist MD and had many contacts to get THE best doctors and got her into special studies at Cleveland Clinic and John's Hopkins Hospitals! She passed exactly one month before my birthday. She survived 2 plus years. It's getting better each day! So, I come here and it's time for me to get busy watching and listening to everyone I've missed! This never gets old! I'm going to sleep 😴 💤💤💤 so WELL tonight! Thank you for all this hard work you have put in for all of us strange strangers! This story is so dreamy horrifying!

@@LighthouseHorror Thank you, Stephen. All your words are so kind and sincere. It's nice to heard sometimes by good people such as yourself and the many people who come here to watch videos. There are such friendly people here, but it's hard to find sincere people almost on any other channels I have frequented. This is yet another great detail about this channel!!! She said she'd live 5 more years. She really loved to live and I know she wasn't finished. She went in peace, but it was very surprisingly and quickly after she'd been doing well from all treatments.. She was likely very tired though. I'm happy she's resting now. Oh, she told me that she's coming back just to haunt me! Lol! Maybe I'll be able to write a true ghost story about her soon! Thank you so much for all your kindness! This story is amazing by the way! I can't wait to have marathon after marathon though, now, after such a break period. My mind is blown at how much I've missed! But they will all be watched! Bless you and your family and loved ones, always, Stephen! And thank you for everything! I, and all of us at the channel, appreciate you soooo much, I hope you know that. I know, you have lots of humility, a great thing to have, but you really have many people at this channel who admire and care a lot about you and the channel! Hope to see you around here soon! Hi Luke, I , like yourself am a long time visitor to our good host here at Lighthouse Horror. I couldn't agree more with you that the community here is made up of a far more accepting and caring people than any other channel I have experienced. I find myself to be a very proud member of the channel for so many reasons. I am very sorry to hear of your loss Luke. It is one of the hardest things we have to face in our lives, the loss of a parent . Your mum not only sounds like a very brave and strong lady, but was also there to raise you to become a very decent, compassionate and eloquent indivdual. That you are able to speak with such honesty of your loss speaks volumes of the home created by your parents, where you were able to live, learn and grow. Your mum must have been incredibly proud of you and the path you walked throughout the time of your shared journeys. I wish you all the very best as you make your way through this time of loss into a happier period of reflection. Thank you for sharing with us and I hope this message confirms that you are part of a community that does care about each other, ironically brought together by a love of horror and things that go bump in the night. Take care Luke. Cheers, Lee.

@@leekendall7155 So sorry that I didn't respond to you earlier, my KZbin Account is setup to show me notifications for comments, likes, responses, etcetera. However, I never ever get all of them, not even close, and there's no reason why. I love this channel and the community here. Everyone is so generous, caring, kind, and smart. Thank you so much for your comment. You are very kind and well-spoken. It's a beautiful thing to find such a caring, loving, sweet bunch of people who actually show that they care by writing such amazingly heartfelt, honest comments. They do make me feel very loved and important. I do hope that others feel the same way when I write to them. It is especially rare in these days, to be a member of a loving and caring community, especially on KZbin or any social media type of platform. I have always felt as though I could write very honestly and openly here because of members like you and because of the vibe of Lighthouse Horror. It is so very touching to read your comment, I'm welling up tears at the moment. You two have written the most caring, touching comments I have received about the loss of my mother. Even my own family has never showed me such appreciation, love, care, nor have they complimented me in any way since the death of my mother. She was the glue that held my family together. So many people in my family I don't talk to because they used my mom for money, it makes me so disturbed and sick. No one was there for her when I took her to all of her chemo and radiation appointments. My wife and I vacationed about a month in December, when she started to go downhill because she stopped treatment... We went to Medellin, Colombia in South America. My own sister BLAMED ME for her death before she even passed away and afterwards. People in my family got extremely weird, like they were angry with me for trying to still live my life, as they were ALL doing, expecting my wife and I to do everything and getting mad if they had to be involved, talking horrific about my wife and I after we had taken her to all of her appointments for a year, agreed to live in a CAMPER outside of their Victorian Mansion on a horse farm in the rolling hills of Kentucky. It was miserable. We had to pay fifty bucks a day to shower at a Truck Stop, Loves, or pay for a hotel room as often as possible, working our butts off just to sleep in a better environment. Due to the sickness, before the vaccine, we weren't ALLOWED IN THE HOME I GREW UP IN and I never in my life thought my parents and sister would treat my wife and I that way, it's such a shame. We came all the way from Oregon, left behind our life there just to help my Mom, and we couldn't use the bathroom, couldn't shower. Our RV had all that stuff in it but we would have had to take it about 100 miles every few days to empty the tanks if we used them as we would use our water at home. They were scared of us getting sick and getting my mom sick and I can't believe my mother allowed that, but her brain changed, her personality changed immediately after her diagnosis, and right before we noticed. She had Glioblastoma Tumors all on her Frontal Lobe and had surgery as we drove from Oregon to Kentucky when the sickness first started in March 2020. We came immediately, no questions, and got there asap. We have never been thanked, but told we didn't do enough even though no one ever came to see my mom that first year when we were taking her to all of her radiation and her chemo. After that, she was getting treated at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, in Cleveland. She was flying there by herself and we didn't know. She withheld that information from us... She didn't want us to worry. And the worst part about everything is that my own father is a doctor, an Internist Family Medicine M.D. He saw patients with THE SICKNESS daily! But we were the ones who couldn't come in the house and not allowed to sleep in my old room just like any other time we have visited my mom and dad. I have not spoken to any family since the funeral. I have tried, even though THEY should be trying. She's my mom! I am so sick and frustrated with all these people who have tried to drain her accounts and take everything from her, from us... It's a CIRCUS. Her brothers and sisters, my sister and brother in law and nephew, my dad, my dad's side... It's simply heartbreaking. Thank you for all of your kind words. I really respect and appreciate your consideration and kindness. Just the fact that you wrote that says so much. My wife and I are very touched and wish we saw this comment earlier. Seriously, thank you! I haven't spoken to anyone in my family really even when she was sick, hardly a word at the funeral. Bunch of thieves and snobs and sinners trying to take everything she had even though she has her own children... It's mind-blowing. I've thought about writing a book, and my dad would DIE because his reputation is the only thing he cares about. He wasn't there for most of it... SMH... No one else was... My mom and I were best friends and she always told everyone I was her favorite... Always... Yet my family treats me and my wife in such awful ways. This world is falling to pieces when family does that to each other or to other family members. My family is HERE. I praise GOD in Heaven for all of you here... And especially feel at home here more so than at any of my blood relatives now that my mom is gone. i have my in laws and they are great and understanding of everything my family has done... But it is just very heartbreaking when everyone you've known growing up acts like this to you in the worst times in your life... It's shameful. This/ your comment and LH's comment are both so uplifting, powerful, loving, caring, and they mean so so so so so much to me... I'm so sorry that I have written so much. Truly. Haven't been able to vent about the people who share my own blood. That doesn't even matter, not anymore. I choose my family, and I choose this wonderful community and people with big hearts and real love to share. My wife and I appreciate you so much and we both send you all so much love and prayers. Thank you for everything.

@@NaturalBornKelli Hey Benjamin. You are very welcome dear Sir. Grief at the loss of a loved one is a terrible thing as death only hurts the living, those of us left behind. I am so very sorry to hear of your situation with your own family as I experienced something similar, not as intense as your own situation, at the loss of my Dad and sister . This was many years ago and I was very young. My Dads family, who were the only family we knew turned on my mum, the greed of one family member kickstarting an awful situation. Looking back on it all years later I think that we all came unstuck due to the pain of loss. Loosing the two of them so suddenly we were all so ill prepared to deal with emotions as raw as we had . Hurting someone else took the hurt from yourself, it was all about making someone else feel what I was feeling. It's a terrible thing to experience and I have seen it happen to other families over the years where a families grief let's it destroy itself after a huge loss. I don't give advice, that's one of the easiest ways of getting blamed for something when something goes pear shaped, hahaha. What I will say is that the one thing I wish I had done during all the blaming and hateful things that were said was that I had simply said nothing in return. That I had stopped reading letters and listening to left voice mails, hah ha, no emails, social media or texts back then fortunately. That I had not allowed myself to be caught up in their issues and just focused on living my life as my Dad and Sister would have wanted , much sooner than I did. The sacrifices you and your wife made to look after your Mum when she needed you most is what causes your family the pain they have . They chose to make themselves feel better about not being there when it was important by blaming you for being able to live your life blamelessly at the end as your Mum would have wanted you too. Like my own family Benjamin, it sounds very much like there was lot going on before your Mum became ill , and her passing was the catalyst that set everything off. Anyway , the reality is that you and your wife sacrificed a great deal for your Mum when she needed it , you can both stand tall and know that regardless of what is said you were there for a period of time when your Mum needed someone to help her more than at any other time in her life, and there is absolutely nothing your family can say that can take that from you. I hope this helps with where you are at and what you dealing with . Thank you for your own kind words in the message you sent to me , they further confirm to me how proud your Mum would have been of you, beleive me, its a parental thing ha hah ha. Take care Benjamin, I hope you have been enjoying the binge watching of so many great stories that have been waiting for you , and that they give you as much distraction and contemplation time as they do me, that help us through the dark times. All the very best in the world to you and yours . Cheers Benjamin. Lee.

I listened to this again, 2 years later. This time, I heard hints of Cthulu & "The Doom That Came to Sarnath", but all woven together in something else horrifying. Makes me want to go sit out on the beach & watch the waves for incoming creatures. Not sure what I'd do if I actually saw them........🤯❤

Sounds like the end of days. Information the lead character probably would have preferred not to have knowledge of. Scary. There are secrets in the universe that I'm sure would make most of the human insane. I promise not to over think this one. At least that's my plan anyway. Good job as per usual. KZbin asked me to rate your comment. Isnt that strange? I gave it a 5 star (even though its honestly just a 3 star comment) and said it was interesting and inspired me to watch the video. Why did they highlight your comment specifically though? Have they done it to one of my comments??

2:00 That's not what Borderline Personality Disorder is. I swear, if I hear one more person say, "How many personalities do you have?" I'm flipping over a table. Nobody asks that if you say Narcissistic Personality Disorder, now do they? Anyway, someone should tell the author they're probably looking for the word manic or psychotic (as in psychosis, not psychopathic). Otherwise, the story felt very Lovecraftian. Great fun for the eldritch horror lovers, I'm sure. :)
