Great video, as always not a spec of dust or cobweb to be seen, and gleaming brass. I spotted the BBC micro as well. Love momentos of past history at end. Awesome fog horn.

Thanks for that Napier, I'm obviously not computer literate! Lol, someone in the ALK may be able to help in that direction, Cheers, stay safe.

A BBC in a lighthouse? Not the computer I was expecting!

It looks just like when I visited a couple of years ago, it's a lovely site to spend some time. Those empty levels are decorated with ribbons and used for wedding ceremonies now. Thank you for another brilliant video

Thanks for that, and the information, glad that some lighthouses are made more accessible to people, cheers

Thanks so much for your dedication and the time spent saving history. More than just a couple discolored pictures in an old stuffy museum. These videos are such a wonderful representation of the men and lighthouses they staffed day after day for years on end. God bless, Be well Peter!

This is a really interesting video Peter, I did not realise that Nash used to have a static lens. Do you know when they changed it to a rotating optic? My friend and I have only every seen it from the hill above Minehead, we desparately want to visit it before they remove optic and convert it to LED.
@PeterHalil Жыл бұрын
Hi, thank you very much for that. When I visited for this video, the light was a static light, so I assume it still is as I haven't been back there since. I've got to assume that all our lights will have gone the solar LED type route by now, but don't quote me on that, sorry. Take care

Great video and epic foghorn ,just a question, why do the light bulbs make a clicking sound when they wink on and off? Thanks 🙂
@PeterHalil4 жыл бұрын
Cheers for that, as for the lights, probably old fashioned relays clicking in and out at a guess?

3:58 A BBC micro! I wonder what that would've been used for?
@PeterHalil4 жыл бұрын
I don't know is the easy answer, hopefully one of the Keepers that served at Nash might see this and respond, or contact the Association of lighthouse keepers at the following who may be able to find someone that knows for sure, cheers. alk.org.uk/
