What about Cine Tracer? Existing owners get cine designer or , i am out of the loop ?
@CinematographyDatabase Жыл бұрын
Cine Tracer is going to continue to be updated. Some of these assets will come to CT as an update to the lighting and grip system. Cine Designer is a different product and is plugin/asset pack for Unreal Engine.

@@CinematographyDatabase Would you say for people who were originally interested in Cine Designer, that this new plug-in pack would be a viable alternative? I was always really interested in Cine Designer, but Cinema 4D was so expensive!
@JustPassingByBaby Жыл бұрын
@@CinematographyDatabase could you explain the differences?
@CinematographyDatabase Жыл бұрын
@@JustPassingByBaby Cine Tracer is a stand alone game/app with “everything” included. Unreal Engine (you can go download it for free) is a game engine where you need to setup everything from the sets, MetaHumans (3d humans), clothing etc. Cine Tracer is made with Unreal Engine 4. If you download UE5 you’ll know immediately if it’s the right ecosystem for you compared to a fully managed game/app like Cine Tracer. Cine Tracer is very limited but you don’t have to manage anything. UE5 options are unlimited, but you have to do 100% of the setup.

@@CinematographyDatabase I meant between CT and CD. I know what UE is. CD is basically just an asset for UE that costs 100euros and does similar things to CT? The differences I was asking are in functionality between CT and CD. What are the goals using both and what you do with it. Is it the same or not? Is one product competing with the other?

I know you probably have a lot of other things in mind, and this may be out of the scope of the project, however, have you considered adding power requirements ? I see this as a great collaboration tool between a Best and the gaffer, giving the best a way to plot cable runs, plan for power needs (how many gennys are needed and placement for sound) and generate quick reports for things like cables, converters, carts, distribution boxes and whatnot. It would help to plan out larger long term setups where catwalks are in use as well.

I am actually really interested in developing power systems and visualization. I’ve attempted some basic ones in the past, but they were scrapped. This time around it may be possible. Appreciate the vote and suggestion.

Amazing :) I would love a full video for complete begginers on how to do green screen on UE5. It opens a lot of interesting possiblities for KZbin production.

after having watched this deep content, (Struggling with many doubts around though) I´m concerned about if cine tracer is What I really need to produce my traditional cinematic storyboards and camera movement storyboards, I do not which software to choose

Just found your channel. I'm a noob to UE5, but experienced real-world LD. Those light rigs -- did you create them yourself or do they come with UE5? I felt right at home with those on set..

Any plans to develop CD for Apple Silicon Macs?
@CinematographyDatabase Жыл бұрын
The hope is that UE5 + Lumen etc. support Apple Silicon natively at some point, then that would be possible. ATM Cine Tracer is UE4 and Apple Silicon I believe plays it in some conversion mode, I forget the name, but it’s not native.
@CinematographyDatabase Жыл бұрын
I haven’t testing this Cine Designer + UE5 pack on Apple Silicon yet, I’ve heard Lumen partially works on MacOS.
@adamorphic Жыл бұрын
@@CinematographyDatabase There are rumors floating around that Lumen works natively on 5.2. I haven't yet had a chance to build from source so cannot verify myself. Glad to know it's on your radar!

Great video, a quick question. Is it possible to let the metahumans walk in either cine tracer or cine designer? I want to do a tracking shot for a example and i want to see how that will look, so is it possible to animate the characters movement and animate the camera movement to see the end result trough the camera and the set up in motion( like a behind the scenes shot of the camera move).
@CinematographyDatabase Жыл бұрын
In UE5 it’s possible to do this, but Cine Designer doesn’t include anything to make it easier like animation assets etc. The current version of Cine Tracer doesn’t have the ability for the actors/MetaHumans to walk.

@@CinematographyDatabase thank you for replying. Will give cine designer ue5 a try!

I’m new to this. I’m autistic, but I love it. I had the idea of making mocap to create digital content, because I’m very creative, but I don’t like to appear on camera. Do you think it is possible to produce daily content using unreal engine and a rokoko? That would change my life...
@CinematographyDatabase Жыл бұрын
It’s definitely possible, but does require some setup technically
