A couple of Coleman lamps burning! Very cool. Now I have to get mine down and light it up lol. Thanks for the great content!

Well there is a lot more lamps than original shades , there was all kinds of milk glass shades, but they are pricey. Coleman made these lanterns until at least 1970 ( wow) and later ones had parchment shades ( yeah, paper) however they had a glass cylinder to channel the heat away, old Coleman parts,has an attachment that allows the use of a regular lantern globe, then you just need a 10 inch, harp mounted straight sided shade, and you are in business .

How many pounds of air do you pump in there

Where did you get the caps with the valves in them ? How much pressure did you pump into the lamps ? Great video .

Ebay, search Amish fuel cap. I put in 25psi, they will hold more, but 25 is enough.

I still don't have a shade, lol. I watch for them, but they are pricey and I'm leary to have one shipped.

@@cutlersantiques6700 I ended up putting a globe on it from a Northstar lantern. It works a treat, so well that I have been able to run a regular lamp shade on it without it getting too hot. it's not original, but at least I get to enjoy the lamp without frying my eyeballs!

What pressure do you pressurize the fount to?
@cutlersantiques6700 Жыл бұрын
I run 30 psi. They will hold more, but 30 is plenty.
