I got into this hobby a few years ago with a buddy and now we do a show for the neighborhood every year. We both watch Cody’s stuff religiously…I started pairing some Mammoth Crackle and Patriotic Dominance cakes in our finales and they really fill up the sky nicely. The cakes are almost the exact same duration. Light them at the same time and they look like one cake. Id like to see Cody fire a couple pairs of those

The difference between UK and US consumer fireworks legislation is pretty clear! In the UK anything under 500g is Cat2 meaning it needs an 8 metre safety distance (!!!). Because this is three 500g cakes it would technically be cat 2 in the UK. Bonkers huh? As well as 250 and 500 gram dump cakes we have compound fireworks (cat3 with 25m safety distance) that have up to four cakes each up to 999g NEC all pre-fused. Hernia inducing boxes containing serious 2-5 minute displays with one fuse to light. Tubes are 30mm maximum, so no NOABS here (shame!) but 10 25gram 30mm fanned tubes fired simultaneously is pretty darned amazing. No setup time beyond taking the lid off. I think you would enjoy a road trip to a European firework festival to check out the differences!

The Nishiki willow firework is named after a Japanese hairstyle for boys. A Nishiki Kamuro firework has a dense burst that leaves a large glittery trail.

Production version of that set contained strips of aluminium tape to connect the fuses. That cake has 3400g and 288 shots in an area that's not much bigger than this cake. (For the next year they updated so that it had 3800g and you only had to connect two blocks). I mean this was a really nice set.
