It's worse than not seeing your sister for 1,000 years; she saw Luna, locked in the moon, every night for 1,000 years. Having that constant reminder of this battle would have made healing that much harder.

after f-ing her sister like that ... she shouldnt need reminders , because if she forgets how she neglected her sister and let it come that far and how she banished her to the moon for a thousand years (dont even know how many endless years luna had to suffer before she snapped and nightmare moon took over) shes worse than every uper-villain i ever saw... aaand its kind of embarassing how she as the ruler over the sun even with the almighty cristals of friendship couldnt break nightmare moon away from luna when ... .... twillight and the others can do it without a thought how magic works or what the cristalls are for more than one day (ep. 2) ... ... sorry for the bad english / grammar , no offence , awesome video i love it ... doesnt mean i hate celestia i just hate what she did... sorry

That look on Celestia's face was brilliantly done. It really portrayed her thinking "what have I done" before falling into despair over banishing her sister. I like this version than the canon version, this one truly felt like self defense and she had only meant to defend herself.

I like to think when Celsestia reached out to use the elements against Luna, she really didn't know what would happen. She may have hoped it would only remove the nightmare, but instead it banished her sister. That makes the realization of what happened so much more painful for Celestia.

Nightfuryshadows and Karmaticfrost Yes... I know I said "animatic" wrong. I didn't do a commentary because was afraid of ruining the effect, but your commentary added to it ^^ You knew when to speak, when to be quiet, and the commentary itself was awestruck but not a ramble at the animation's beauty, which would have distracted from the beauty shown. At the end, you pointed out some things I noticed and some I didn't, and you brought all the views from an animator's point of view. You also brought attention to some things people skim over, such as the emotion the background has, not just the characters. Your commentary at the end not only makes this animation a better rewatch, because then you pay more attention, but is great advice for an amateur animator like myself, since you say what an animation is supposed to do, and how this one does it. Thank you Lightning Bliss for making this animation even more amazing, and for giving out advice that will help me with my animated series! Keep up the amazing work!

hello Bliss. Every darned time I see this video it brings me tears. So I can 'feel' you feel the piece. Warp Out did an amazing job over 2 1/2 years to make this video. NO, it is not Hasbro style. It instead, harkens back to the old Disney style of frame by frame animation. The story line is well thought out and presented. Celestia, basking in the adoration of her subjects, and enjoying the attention, while they ignore her sister. As She sings in the song: 'Such is the way of the limelight, it takes sweetly takes over it's host'... a line that is presented during an animation of Luna coming under the spell of her darker nature and becoming Nightmare Moon. But in actuality, it's about the seductiveness of 'fame' and how it can cause you to ignore the important things in life, like family, friends, and one's responsibilities. Although 'Tia did try to 'patch things up' with Luna, she didn't devote the time and effort she really needed to to the problem and Luna grew more and more despondent and felt ever-increasingly more and more cut off from the ponies of her world and her sister. The 'fight scene' was done very well, and at it's end, we can see 'Tia realize just what she's done to 'save' herself and her little ponies. Because a never-ending night would make them all blind, and kill all the plant life in the world that they need to survive. In Her desperation, she used the Elements of Harmony in a manner they should not be used for. When the two sisters found them, the elements 'bonded' with the princesses. Allowing them to use them in tandem to awaken their power and restore balance to their world when it was disturbed by various enemies of Equestria. But, this time, she used them to defeat her Sister, the only other 'bearer' of the Elements. This is what caused her hair to change (and Luna's too, in retrospect). 'Marking' them from such an abuse of the power of the Elements, and closing off their connection to them. Celestia would spend over 1,000 years looking for new bearers for the Elements, to restore true balance to the world. Meanwhile, she had to raise both sun and moon during her Sister's absence, although She could not ever fathom nor use Luna's 'dream walker' powers over the minds of Her subjects. Yes the bedroom scene where 'Tia 'tucks in' her sister every morning was an addition by Warp Out, but did you see the final scene? The empty bed, and through the window, Celestia singing to her Sister. There were other changes too... The Elements, during the 'fight scene'. The Element of Magic was changed to better reflect it's shape to identify it to the viewer, since after the change it more resembled the one seen in S1 E1 of MLP. Another change was in Luna's chambers during the argument scenes. Twice, to the left of the double doors where 'Tia was, we get to see a scroll hanging on the wall, depicting a flower. But not just any flower. No, the flower was the Snow Drop. The Cutie Mark of Luna's only true friend. As Luna says in SFS's video, about Snowdrop, '... the only one who ever truly knew my Night'. So it is not all that odd that Luna would 'honor' her memory (Snowdrop was a filly during the 100th Spring Sun-rising Celebration in early Equestria, and probably only lived, at most 100 years) by keeping a depiction of her Cutie Mark as a reminder of her friendship with the foal that created the first Snow Flake. In S1 E1 of MLP, we see Luna returned as a filly, but over the course of several seasons to her full growth, even though it never reached Celestia's size. So, we can infer that she was physically in stasis on the moon, and perhaps experienced time slowed significantly. When Luna returned, she would be subject to rapid growth and development of her body to match her true age. I know, I know... a very long posting. But one I felt needed to be written out for others to read. To give them context and interpretation of events in the video. In no way does any of the above detract from Warp Out's stunning video, or 2 1/2 years of effort put into the work. Instead, I feel it adds to Warp Out's work in allowing others to understand events and how they were portrayed better. the Frank Pony

Great review! Definitely an emotional animation aswell as song. When you were talking about the piece of hair that wasn`t moving, I think that was on purpose since you wouldn`t expect to animate something like that. But, anyway that`s just my thought on that part of the review and animation. :)
@lightning-bliss9 жыл бұрын
Pixel Heart Art Like I said they are nitpicks. But if I can see that then other animators will as well. One must remember that when hair or body moves, everything moves with it, otherwise it looks stale and unrealistic. These are critics, and I'm sure others appreciate that I say them, constrcutive critizism to improve our work I always love ^^

I love my little pony and I can't be Believe I found this today but this crushed my heart 😥♥️ all Luna wanted to get the same amount of respect and love her sister had but could never get it and I know that celestia never meant to hog all the attention and most importantly never ever wanted to banish her sister you could just see it in her face but she had no other choice she had to do what was right for the ponys and the land of equestria And not follow her emotions but follow her duty to the land it's just so sad 😞

The thing that gets me every time I watch this is Celestia's eyes, right after she banishes Luna. Just the rapid movement, kind of twitching; you can really tell that she doesn't believe what she's just done- that it's still processing- right before she breaks.

The action is just so good. Having the key frames so that they can be seen. Celestia tucking in her wings when she does a cartwheel to increase the speed of rotation. Her extremely stressed expression when she's almost vaporized and also squash and stretch as she moves. In that clash you can just feel their emotion. NMM having so much pent up rage that she's unleashing and Celestia being in so much pain yet doing what she needs to. I actually think this is superior to the show version. They just feel so much more powerful and the action so much more scary and tight. Action was always the show's biggest weakness. Few of them really took advantage of the powers and anatomy of the ponies.
