Lightning Bug - 700+ corruption - Last Epoch 1.0

Back to my roots, Im updating my long date lightning bug. Its still a solid build, very tanky and with a fair damage.
You can see clearly that right now the build struggles a bit with the damage, but we have ways to increase, mainly focusing more now at attunement. Gear also need some more upgrades, all I have is before 1.0 and I am just starting to farm.
Spriggan companion is no more viable because we need to spec into new skill gathering storm to increase the damage of Storm Bolts the tornado proc. This is the main change, instead of procing Lightning now we proc Storm Bolts.
So now need to get CRIT avoidance from other places (passive & attunement will help and it's back to the table). And we get near the same flat critical chance in Gathering storm skill tree, so we don't miss the spriggan for this.

Build suffer a lot in boss fight. I was very close to die, but with a phew more tweaks and gear upgrade might be more manageable. 1K corruption might not be a reality, but who knows, now that we can get some top tier gear need to test. I did finish some echoes in corruption 930, but it was not comfortable to run monos and boss fight was near impossible. My take is that 700-800 corruption would be the confort zone for the build.

Cold Swarmblade might actually better now than lightning one. Im testing it right now

@@Comuniou956 yeah damage side I have no doubt, it was already better pre 1.0 and now it's buffed even more. I think it will struggle in defense side, as we need more slots to uniques. But with uniques dropping with more LP we could adjust the defenses better. I'm start playing my other cold one very soon 😄

Thx for testing. In the skill gathering storm, there is this node "Exited Bolts". This scales the damage of storm bolts even more. I assume storm bolts are our main damage source. I am wondering if stacking Mana on gear is more beneficial than stacking attunement, due to this node. Maybe there is just not enough room to scale this properly. Time will tell.

​​@@Horstiiii It's my first day testing gathering storm. Yeah storm bolt is our dps now, as the old lightning subskill was. We do everything to scale it's damage and to proc more tornados that will trigger more storm bolts I'll definitely try this node, but at first I thought since we are transformed we would not benefit from it, because we have no mana. But I'll ask around

i test these skill passive ! For example , Thunderous striker (Lighting Penetration) this passive whether you use Gathering storm or not will active ? am i right ? ( sorry for my english )

Yes , the lightning penetration will apply for both gathering storm and storm bolt. You don't need to direct use gathering storm.

Because of the great resistances and armor it provides. You can ignore the spriggan form affix. Although, if you are playing thorn totem build this affix is wonderful.

Yeah, it provides huge flat armor which sinergize well with the build. Plus poison resistance capped + void resistance. It's a math decision, you have the equivalent of 3 affixes (T7 armor + T7 poison resist + T5 void resist). If 1 LP the other belts can be better if have a good base implicit. But still debatable. 2LP this belt is too good to pass out, you will try to slam a good T7 or t6 affix and it become BiS IMO And you still have a chance to get a 3LP belt, with a Total of 6 affixes (3 of them being T7).

Works like a charm. Lots of way to scale the subskill Storm Bolt. (The one that the build use and is scaled investing in Gathering storm tree).

@@wanlin3618 Still studying the skill, I guess only people direct using gathering storm will gain it. But to swarmblade it does not matter, we proc storm bolt directly from tornados.
