This is beautiful Angie - - it's giving me birds eye view of a one way road with cars moving single file - the ocean is on one side and the mountains are on the other. I love how we can all interpret these designs differently! Great job as always!!! Thank you!!!

I love it. I don't think it necessarily looks like lightning, but to me, a cool beaded line. Love the dye movement, would've liked to see more dye on both sides. Do like the subtle splits. How about doing the same line, but add 2 more lines on either side? Really love the beaded line. Same colors or not. I'm with you on gravity dyes, love the movements and how you never know what effect you'll get. Thanks, Angie!!! 🥰🥰🥰

Hi Angie. Wow, that’s beautiful. It really reminds me of a very stormy day. I have to try another one, but the only place I can do a gravity dye is in the bathtub, but then I have to worry about kitty cat doing some exploring.

Yes, I think the one where I tied more than one line looks more like actual lightning. Talenti is yummy! I buy the dairy free ones and they are a good substitute for ice cream. 😀

Is your shirt dry here or damp? I find dry being a tug-o-war lol! Folding is what gives me my most fits lol!! (Stating the Obvious lol) Your result was awesome!!

It was damp when I tied it, but it was dry by the time I got around to dyeing it. It is so tough to tie shirts when they are dry. They just don't hold the folds very well, and the fabric is tough to manipulate. 😀

When you soak the shirt for 20-30 mins in the soda ash solution, does it matter what the temperature is of the water or is cold okay?

I don't think it makes a difference in the temperature of your solution. My soda ash solution is almost always room temperature. I mix my soda ash solution with warm water to dissolve the soda ash. Then since I reuse my solution, it is stored in a 5 gallon bucket in my dye space.
