I'm German. I was in the fan zone in Westfalenpark Dortmund (500m away from the stadium) during the game. When the thunderstorm came, the lightning that could probably be seen and heard here struck just a few meters next to the fan zone. It was stopped immediately and we were evacuated straight away. However, some were probably injured by the lightning as many ambulances and rescue services comes

Ey this game was by far the craziest. And am scated now to meet Germany (im french). First of all, schmeichel, after that performance, could have easily be the best goal keeper of the year. The first 20min were insane. Second, there weere 3 disallowed goals, and that unlucky 5min for anderson. On top both were really great, but germany was by far better, even tho I was really surprised by the danes. I would have wished to meet them, because when we (france) would have played them, they could have surely won, like seriously. Congrats to germany

@@MrAntonBerg thank you! I think Germany got quite lucky tbh. Gündogan was a catastrophy, too slow and weak for the Danish physicality. Never should have played, Can is more capable of keeping up with the physicality. Gündogan also did not seem entirely on the pitch. His technique was lackluster in several situations. In general, there was an unspeakable amount of bad passes(from both teams), especially in our own half, bad finishing as well as bad 1v1 situations. Especially Havertz does not seem to be able to dribble at all, he literally ran into the Danes thrice. Quite frustrating. Kroos was weaker than before and Sané's right food is apparently non-extistent and uncapable of making a cross. That means he is easy to defend. I do not wish to nag and am very grateful for your wish of cangratulation, but truthfully the Danes were not bad at all and we Germans have to improve further. I am not satisfied. On a different day, this game could have ended much differently. Having several great chances does not mean a deserved win. Making them is what counts. And we have to make more of them. But anyway. If the Danes keep developing, they can become an interesting team in the next tournaments. Greetings from Munich!

As a Dane i dont Think we got robbed, VAR just follow the rules. But I do think it destroys the sport of football it has lost its humanity in the way that both referees and players cant make simpel mistakes without being severely punished for it. Offside and goal technology FINE that just how it is, but the constant stopping of the play needs to stop. VAR should only be there to make quick decision and leave room for human error. 100% agree as a German. So many goals where the fans already celebrated, which would have been given without a question in the past and all those breaks almost feeling like I am watching American football at times. The rules were made for a time with human judgement in the moment. Either var needs to be strongly limited to situations like a wembley goal or the rules need to be adapted to maintain the spirit but add some human leniency. Offside rules are to prevent players from lingering in front of the opponents goal, not to penalize over centimetres in a fairly played fight. Also the new rule with the offside not being called immediately even if it is crystal clear is annoying beyond belief and unfairly taxing on the players

If we are talkin abt fouls and such and if a hand touch is a penalty (although that ruleset is rather strict and straightforward aswell) there is more room for discussion, but as long as a certain line by the ref is kept throughout the whole game its fair.

But those are the rules, and it has nothing to do with the referee. The goal that he took from Germany would be smth you could blame on the referee. Because a foul is much more discussable. If its given depends mostly on the refs decision himself.

To anyone who really thinks that Germany got favored by VAR through that toe-tip offside decision, may I please call in mind how Germany were thrown out of the last World Cup in 2022? A tip-toe is huuuuge against what happened there to Germany’s disadvantage. Japan had an attack where the ball seemed to have crossed the goal line left of the goal. The Spanish defense stopped playing, but the Japanese continued and scored. Then the VAR found out that the ball had indeed NOT crossed the line before for a fraction of a fraction a milimeter which was absolutely not conceivable to the human eye. The the goal was given, Japan beat Spain 2-1, and Germany who were running and scoring their lungs out in the parallel match were eliminated on goal difference. If you think yesterday‘s decision was close, you should really re-watch THAT one. I doesn‘t get any closer even if you watch a million football games. But in three years I haven‘t heard one German official - not ONE! - who has ever complained about VAR.

Danish coach made a joke of himself. Both offside goals for each team was correct. Yellows for arguing all correct also both coaches got one. Handball was 100% correct. The only real error was that German goal in the 3rd minute must count... So overall what are the Danish complaining about
