Very cool. I've always wanted to get into mask making and special fx since I was a kid, but it was always prohibitively expensive for me as kid. I used to save lunch money to buy things like liquid latex when halloween rolled around. Other times I had to get creative and use things like wax, paper mache, and toilet paper 😂 Money is less an issue these days so I was wondering how much of an investment do you think I would have to make to have everything I need to make alginate life casting, mold/negative, and first foam mask. Also how many masks would I be able to make with some kind of small starter kit, also, do you have recommendations for such a kit? I just started watching your channel and I am very impressed and inspired by the creations the two of you make and have so many questions.

Always mix the Ultracal into the water. Not water to Ultracal.

So "it could crack when you bake it". This is like the 4th video I've watched on Ultra Cal 30 molds that mention baking it, but you didn't actually bake it? Is that an optional thing or something?

Hi. I need help with a question. I live in mexico and cant seem to find gypsium.powder to make molds. I would like to make slip molds, i understand that plaster is ideal with a gypsium mold being that the gypsium retains the water from the plaster hence creating the slip effect. Unfortunatly down here i cant find gypsium, my question, can i use stone lime powder to make the outer mold? I do have acces to plaster. Or could i make the outer mold from.plaster and the slip cast from.plaster also? I would appreciate a response ty.
