The 90's were maybe the last decade of great music. I'm a big fan of 70's and 80's rock, but I also loved 90's indie music just as much.

These kind of comments make me sad. As a Gen-Xer myself, I find that there is still and always has been AMAZING music in every decade that I have lived through. You just need to go research things more.

Scouser growing up as a kid in the 90s with these, the Las, cast and space was such an underrated era for liverpool music shaped my life and I write my own stuff now! Such inspiration and Ian Broudie was a part of that

I remember hearing this one time in the pub in EastEnders-when Grant Mitchell was there too! Also, the album this came from was given the top five star rating in Q magazine when it came out too-and why not indeed?! Wonderful music-thank you too!

OMG! I remember this song when I was a teenager in the 1990s! For some reason I thought I'd play that song when I was waiting for a train at a London tube station. That horn sound played during the chorus sent a massive shiver down my spine! I forgot how awesome how music sounded before the likes of the X Factor took over and started ruining it!

Jolification; yes Lightning Seeds excellent; Liverpool band. Seen then live at packed out Riverside; Newcastle and at Catherine Cookson festival. Favourite group during Brit era. Up there with Blur, Oasis and Pulp. Ian Broudie also famous as a producer.

I first heard this as an instrumental on one of Liverpool's local radio stations, it was used as the theme for the sports sections live games commentary, still gives me shivers when I hear it, it became even better when they put the lyrics to it and released it.

Billy Bowers yeah I remember it on radio Merseyside and it would play and I can always remember hearing king kenny speak on it as it was the 94/95 season that he won it with Blackburn 😂 always reminds me of that too
