The 90's were maybe the last decade of great music. I'm a big fan of 70's and 80's rock, but I also loved 90's indie music just as much.

Scouser growing up as a kid in the 90s with these, the Las, cast and space was such an underrated era for liverpool music shaped my life and I write my own stuff now! Such inspiration and Ian Broudie was a part of that

OMG! I remember this song when I was a teenager in the 1990s! For some reason I thought I'd play that song when I was waiting for a train at a London tube station. That horn sound played during the chorus sent a massive shiver down my spine! I forgot how awesome how music sounded before the likes of the X Factor took over and started ruining it!

Jolification; yes Lightning Seeds excellent; Liverpool band. Seen then live at packed out Riverside; Newcastle and at Catherine Cookson festival. Favourite group during Brit era. Up there with Blur, Oasis and Pulp. Ian Broudie also famous as a producer.

I first heard this as an instrumental on one of Liverpool's local radio stations, it was used as the theme for the sports sections live games commentary, still gives me shivers when I hear it, it became even better when they put the lyrics to it and released it.
