Occam's razor applies to the geoglyphs. The simplest explanation and all that. They had some kind of balloon, blimp, glider or other flying machine. There is no reason why not, but wicker and fabric don't last so no proof.

Seeing that hand of the desert with graffiti on it reminds me what knobs share our planet. Regarding the horse geo gliff/gliph ??, I can't understand why it would've been made when you can only appreciate it from the sky, which they clearly couldn't do when creating it.

You seem to have missed the Rude Man of Cerne Abbas......, a similar but more detailed chalk figure in the hillside wielding two clubs, one in his right hand & the other fully erect from between his legs. If I recall correctly this one dates from about the 8th century or thereabouts. Perhaps you deemed this one not quite so family friendly!
