@@easternshorephotoinstruction I love your content and was wondering if you have any tips for quickly deleting photos in Lightroom while navigating. I often shoot in sequences (e.g., 20 photos), pick one, and want to delete the rest permanently as I go-rather than just rating them. Right now, every time I delete, Lightroom asks if I want to "Remove from Lightroom" or "Delete from Disk," and I always choose "Delete from Disk." But having to confirm with a mouse click slows me down a lot. Is there a faster way to delete directly from disk without the extra step? A way to delete within survey mode? Would love any workflow tips you have! Thanks!

I understand about that dialog box. But unfortunately you really can't turn it off. In prior versions there was a little check box to turn it off. But for some reason Adobe took that away. But, I can help speed things along a little bit. First when reviewing your photos and you intend to delete a dup or similar photo in your stack, just hit the X key to signify this should be deleted. After you go through your photos putting an X on each one to be deleted, hit the CMD (or CNTRL on PC) DELETE keys. It will bring up the dialog box to remove from disk or LR. It will also let you know HOW MANY photos you will be affecting. Then just hit REMOVE and all the photos will be removed at once. There is one other way to do this with limited results. It is a little more complicated and only removes photos from LR. It doesn't delete them. You would need to use the X key to select the photos for removal. Then make sure all are selected. Hit the OPTON (ALT of PC) DELETE key. They will be removed from LR without any prompt. But they remain on the disk. I hope this helps out. If I find anything better, I will leave you a note.

Some of your tips work perfectly well with Camera RAW aswel. Thank you!

Great to hear! I don’t really use camera raw that often. But I should probably test my tips out there too. Thanks for the heads up.

Some really good ideas here! For the reflection, I wonder if you can choose the sky, transform/flip and then "add sky" to the existing mask. It would simplify the edits, because you'd be applying the same edits to both at the same time.... I'll have to play with that.
@easternshorephotoinstructionАй бұрын
I'm glad you enjoyed the tips and great idea to apply the same edit to both. Let me know if you find a good workflow for that!

Good to know. I assume you have a dual monitor setup? Some monitor setups can be finicky.
