I love how you emphasize that what you teach are techniques and tools that people can pick up here and there to place in their toolsets and use to create the image that they are envisioning. Old video but a couple things that I find helpful are using a ColorChecker Passport, and rearranging the sections in Lightroom so I can put them in order of what I use.

Silly question but isn’t it the same thing when you first bring out the shadows in the basic panel and then you make them darker in the curve? As in, doesn’t the second step neutralise the first?

Joanie, thank you for the editing tutorial but I was shocked to find a huge omission: you never mentioned the importance of having a display calibration system. Without one, any changes to color, contrast, saturation, etc. are being made in the blind. No manufacturer of computer displays, tablets, or laptops makes a display that ships set to graphics standards, most often they are set so the images look good to the eye. If a photographer delivers images that do not have correct color, contrast or saturation to a client that does have a calibrated display, there will be some 'splainin' to be done.
