Here is the answer to what is going on. Lights is hooked into Deadmau5's setup, he is putting delays, choruses, processing shit, etc. His is just distorting her, putting it on the same frequencies as a vocal track would be in a song. Deadmau5 is an audio junkie, so he definitely took over on that. There is no singing when her mouth isn't moving, its called a simple delay effect.

this song makes me think of my old best friend. all through high school, we loved deadmau5 and this song. she smoked pot for the first time when we were listening to this song at a way cooler friend's house. we were kind of lame in school, but we didn't give a fuck when we were together. i cry so hard when i listen to stuff like this. i don't miss her often, but when i hear songs like this the tears just start rolling. anyway, awesome fucking song that has stood the test of time for me.
