Hey buddy! I’m going to try and do like I did on our recent RV trip, post daily “shorts” with updates and anything interesting we come by. Yes, I’ll be super aware, watching for myself and the other guys.

Greetings from the uk. That weather is what passes for a summer day here! 😄😄

🤣 Is humidity a thing there? Now that the rain has passed, it’s like 90° and 90% humidity. I’m sweating, just standing still.
@AdventureDad016 ай бұрын
We don't really do humidity, it's pretty pleasant once we get above 70 degrees 😁. At the risk of going a bit Hollywood "love your work Mike" 😎

The cargo cover/lock fabrication was a good idea and appears to have turned out like you planned. Good job looking ahead and trying to eliminate as many concerns as possible. Thanx for the heads-up on the daily postings. Looking forward to those!!

Thanks Don. Yes, I’m very happy with cover. I added a thin layer of foam to the inside of the cover, to cut down on the rattling against the Pack Out boxes. Yes, if you haven’t done so, there is a little “bell” by the subscribe button. Hit it so that it turns black and you should get notifications when I post a short or pictures. Thanks!

I like the LEDs. Good idea.
@MiniBikeMike6 ай бұрын
Thanks. I swapped the taillight back to a regular bulb. With LED’s at both ends, the stator was sending 15.5 volts to the battery. A little high for my liking. When I swapped the taillight, it’s now 13.8 to 14.0volts. Much better.

I’m a fan of it also. With both front and rear with LED’s, I was getting 15.5volts, which was a little high for my liking. I swapped a regular bulb back into the taillight and now I’m spot on…..13.8 to 14.0 volts.
@Smallbore2wheels6 ай бұрын
@@MiniBikeMike oof yeah, was the 15.5V idling or actually running?
@MiniBikeMike6 ай бұрын
@Smallbore2wheels Idling was high 13v and it jumped to 15.5v, while riding. I’ve got it down to idling at 12.7v and 13.8v while riding.

Hey Mike, big fan of your videos, I have a solution for your charging problem, use a 6 Pole Stator rather then the 2 Pole stators, put out much more power had a similar problem on my ST90 with a custom wiring harness for my lights/lifan engine, wouldn't charge my battery but after the stator change it sits at 13.5V at idle with no LEDS and have no problems
@MiniBikeMike6 ай бұрын
These seem to be working fine. We’ll go with it and see what happens. As long as the bikes continue to run, lights aren’t that big of a concern.

i think 15.5 is a bit to much for a 12v batttery i think no more than 14v for a 12v battery and is the meter accurate? try it with a multimeter to be safe
@MiniBikeMike6 ай бұрын
I was a little concerned myself. Yes, gauge seems accurate. I just got back from a 15 mile ride. I left the LED’s in for the first half and it ran 15.3 / 15.5 volts. I stopped halfway and swapped the taillight back to the regular bulb and it was 13.8 to 14.0 the rest of the way back. I think I’m good now.

You can hide a Apple AirTag on the bike. If it gets stolen you can track it

@@sailingyemaya9781 One of the guys did put an AirTag on their bike. I found it easier to lock the bike to something, so I didn’t have to take the time to chase it down. It all worked out…..no one bothered the bikes. 👍🏻
