Here are some tips for building printed paper models. These are things I've picked up and/or figured out. Skip to 9m15s if you want to see trains & scenes of the buildings on the layout.

Great video and thanks for shooting and sharing. With all the free plugs for Amazon and Walmart no wonder our neighborhood businesses are shutting down.

A lot of cool tips • Suggestion; You should right a How Too article for one of the model train magazines. • Cheers from The Detroit & Mackinac Railway 🚂

Hey Brent, Tks for all the videos you share! Really helps me learn. Do you have any video explaining the details of creating/construction shadow boxes behind windows like you did with the Clever Models Book Store?
@BrentsTrains
@BrentsTrains 4 жыл бұрын
You're welcome! I don't have any videos of paper model construction right now, but I'll be making more paper model buildings in the near future (for our "Lodge Layout") and plan on doing videos like you're suggesting. Some of the Clever Model buildings come with shadow boxes (like the Book Store) and they provide some basic instruction on how to do those, but I'm hoping to detail some of those types of things in upcoming videos.

@@BrentsTrains tks for the reply! Your "how to's" are great learning tools. Also, my goal is to create card stock interiors in photoshop, now that I'm retired I have the time. Would you be interested in collaborating?

@@sammiller6970, have you done any of the clever model's buildings yet? If not, at least get a few of the free downloads (I think they are "freebies" on the website). Personally, I'm hooked on them. Maybe if I get more subs they'll want to sponsor me 🤩 Well, I can dream. There is a possibility of collaboration in the future - right now, it seems I barely have enough time to juggle the train stuff I got going on... and I haven't built a paper model in months (I'm getting kinda itchy to make some though). Lets keep in touch here on KZbin and see what happens 👍

These model buildings look like a lot of work to assemble?
@BrentsTrains
@BrentsTrains 5 жыл бұрын
A nice looking model building can be made without too much work - by that I mean not adding extra interior details and lights. Also, I've gotten better at it... my first models don't look as good as these - plus I got faster with more practice.
