I saw her at a free concert in Calgary of all places, and I have to say, she sounds just same live. Amazing singer, and she had a great personality and was extremely humble. Great artist 👍

I saw her years ago in Red Deer! It was a pretty strictly seated venue for a reason I can't remember now, but me and my friends drank a little too much and went out to the front of the stage to dance along with a few other people and she waved off the bouncers when they tried getting us back to our seats. After that pretty much everyone else got up and it was a blast. And she really does sound just the same live. We almost didn't get to say hi to her at the end, but she quickly hugged me and my best friend and told us that she liked our hair. Definitely one of the most genuine bands I've seen in concert. It's always the ones that still play in small venues even after fame 🤣

I'm beyond glad to hear she's still down to earth and cool (and even more popular afaik) but tbh I had been getting different vibes for a while ...must be the fans now that I think about it tho, they call her queen and try to massage her ego 24/7 while calling her humble etc... but the newer songs don't really have similar flavor, too. I also need to see what she's been posting on Twitter, haven't checked in ages now. NGL, I'm feeling curious about that, just not enough to login there yet xD You guys are lucky to be able to go to her concerts tho, I can only imagine being to an acoustic show of hers. I'm not too keen on attending concerts but I bet this would be a really unique experience even after all these years...

I can't believe that no one sees the difficulty and challenge to filming this video. The director as well as Lights, the band, the actors, the set crew, demonstrate extreme precision and timing since this entire 3:30 video is shot in one single take. Everything had to happen perfectly with no mistakes or cuts. There is nothing to edit since it already took 14 hours to shoot the perfect shot. Everyone should get credit for a masterpiece like this. There aren't too many single shots that last this long in the history of film. Way to go!

"The initial idea I had was to do something in one take that involved a lot of chaos. I felt that would be a good representation of the daily battles of life and how we kind of just power through it and keep looking forward, which is what the song touches on" Lights said in an interview regarding this song.. I love the concept behind the song and video. Everyone did a great job doing it all in one take as well.

It's so sad that a comment with a statement/implication about 2020 being "hard" has so many more likes than a comment about the substance of the idea for this video. Also, I love her lighter and sadder songs alike, but it seems ppl always talk about how perfect she is, effectively massaging her ego nonstop (while mentioning how humble she is, ironically) instead of appreciating the nice/uplifting/deeper songs and being inspired to post something as useful and interesting as the piece of art. Then again, I guess that is usually the case in comment sections, especially of pop music songs. I don't diss any genre but it's quite obvious there's a difference in mentality between certain stuff. Not saying I demonize or beautify any, but the kind of music does seem to attract specific ppl each time, from lightheaded to doomloving and from the one side of the insecurity spectrum to the other. Although I'd say most of the basic insecurities are more or less shared. Some want to belong to this group, some to the other, and go as far as choosing certain genres to cover tribalistic needs instead of simply discovering good meaningful stuff to share with others and enjoy more deeply, relating to others and uniting, bettering whole mindsets and healing wounds or just attempting to maintain a nice mood in spite of each day's or life's usual BS (be it repercussions of choices we/others make, or not).

+volvagia466 - Maybe because lots of people are fed up of the same old shit synth "pop" (keyword: pop). Why can't North Americans ever be more heavier like the European bands such as Nightwish, Within Temptation, Delain, Kamelot, Leaves' Eyes, etc? What's this fuckin "pop" shit we're on in this continent? It gets redundant after a while. Do these people have parents? Or maybe their parents were not rock/metal fans. Avril Lavigne didn't even know who the fuck Metallica was back when she got started in the 1990's. You don't have to be a fan of any particular band or artist to have simply HEARD of them. I bet these young "musicians" know who Tupac is tho. Even tho he was dead while they were all still shitting in diapers.

I guess this video represents some stages in Lights' life. The wrestles being her struggles as a pop star. The sex being the making of Rocket. The goat and pig hand shaking as Lights agreeing on continuing her career despite becoming a mother. The freezing of everything represents her doubts about carrying on. In the end her life is like a big party. Despite all her struggles and all the craziness going on in her life, she still continues to ascend UP

To everyone going nuts about the couple in the video, calm down. It's not promoting porn and she's not selling out in any way. It's clear they were intended to show pure passion and desire. Which is NOT a bad thing by any means. A couple in love, and making love is a beautiful thing. Why would Lights just throw in a couple having sex just for the fun of it? Think about who Lights is. If you know anything about her personality you'll know the couple was there just as a passionate young couple, beautifully in love and enjoying each other.

I can fully understand why some of the "old fans" may be disappointed with this "new sound".
