Also the controls framework around data management will also be enhanced considering the wide use of AI. Example, we are POCing chatgpt like bot that leverages all the metadata we have harvested over the years to help our analytics community find data much more easily. Will DCAM revamp the controls framework for the industry soon? 😊

What is pre-requests to start Data Governance? should i learn data management first ? is reading DMBOK2 enough?

Great question. I think the DMBOK will offer a good foundation and I recommend it, but it is also a bit outdated. If you want something a bit more practical and in depth you can check out my Practical Data Governance: Implementation course or checkout my website for lots of free content on data governance. I can't say either way. I think for the CDMP a few more hands-on experience would be helpful.

With AI automating a lot of the data governance processes, do you think that AI will put data governance jobs at risk?

Not really. I think it could make some things more efficient, and so far I've never seen a well resourced data governance program so any help is welcomed in my opinion.
