I'm trying to decide between Lightspeed and AccuPOS for my small coffee shop. Do you have any insight regarding these two? Honestly, AccuPOS seems more reasonably priced but I'm wondering about quality.

To be honest, our POS expert has limited experience with AccuPOS but from its reviews we'd worry about its ease of use and, from the number of reports about its software freezing up, the lack of 24/7 support would also be a concern. Lightspeed is a little more on the expensive side but you're getting a hassle-free, all-in-one product. If you're just a small shop, we would also recommend looking into Square for Restaurants which is just as easy to use and may end up being a bit cheaper depending on what you need. Hey, I saw the one of the cons says that there is no mobile ordering, this is definitely not the case. LS Hospo allows you to do table side and per seat test ordering with the iPad as well as to make it even more mobile, a waiter can also use an iPhone or an iPod as a mobile POS device.

Hey, Luke! Yes, that's correct. Lightspeed uses its own in-house payment processor called Lightspeed Payments. Its standard rates are 2.6% + $0.10 per transaction for card present payments, 2.6% + $0.30 per transaction for keyed-in payments, & 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction for online orders.
