Easily the greatest moment in MK history. My favorite trope is when two old rivals learn to trust each other and become friends. Like Goku and Vegeta. It's a shame it took this long for the characters to develop into the versions we saw in MK11, because it feels like it should've come a lot earlier. Even worse is that MK 12 will probably be another semi-reboot and we will have to go through the rivalry all over again. I just want my two ninjas to be bros and do ninja shit together.

Probably because Skorpion's fire is from within and magical, and thus can't hurt him. Whereas the flamethrower is from an outside source not native to him. I always looked at it like that since he could hurt his younger version with fire somehow. Kinda like how Subzero cannot hurt himself with his own cryomancy but Frost's cryomancy can.
