Damn. Two OOTRs and one battery liberated from it's robot. Great match.

not sure if you forgot to turn off the camera post match, but i really enjoyed the trip through the pits as well as the post match banter.

Very nice! Seeing K2 getting towed back to your station in the pits was just as fascinating as the fight.

You REALLY cleaned up there.

I really hope they approve you to make a 250b K2 (or Apex!!??) for Battlebots 2017, it was a shame there were already too many vertical spinners this year for you to get in. You guys have some real talent and many of the best robot fights on YT that i've seen. A 250b Apex or K2 would make for some epic entertainment on that show.

The thing that really amazed me about this was that K-2 actually scored the kill-shot on every single robot in the free for all.

Wow Kevin! You cleaned up there. Eager to see you at Robothon Seattle.

You should make a heavyweight version of k2.

K2 has an asymmetric spinner. How many fights does the weapon bar last until dull?
@TeamVelocity6 жыл бұрын
Usually discs break before they get dull for me. For the current (2013) design I made 3 complete weapon assemblies. K2 has fought 24 fights using those 3 and all of them are pretty well trashed at this point. It really depends on the opponent though. If I'm fighting aluminum pushbots they could last forever, another S7 weapon though is pretty tough.

This is just like the MASH episode where the soldier arrives on a stretcher and is treated. Just to date myself. Methink it's interesting.

Have you guys considered getting it wirelessly broadcast and steering using the first person camera?
@TeamVelocity8 жыл бұрын
There is no benefit to it, in person I can see the opponent even if they are behind me.
@maceosikes8 жыл бұрын
Ah okay, it seems like it would be easier in the kind of close in dancing scenarios than trying to tell from farther away which way the other bot is moving, but the lack of situational awareness is probably not worth it even if it mattered for your bot which maybe it doesn't due to the design. Besides you'd know better than anyone :P
