I am so thankful for my wife of 21+ years and I am so glad God provided my wife when I asked Him to pick her out for me and to bring us together in His timing. 34:47 Dismissing professional marriage counselors as “gurus in their 30’s” who “arrogantly project” onto their clients is itself shockingly arrogant. There is nothing inherently unbiblical about behavioral science or expert knowledge, and there is nothing inherently admirable about a long marriage. I suppose by your rationale, we’d have no need of young educated pastors so long as there are old people in the church who have believed for many years.

I think if you look back at the church and what the body of Christ should truly look like you would realize the “professional marriage counsel” role should be filled by members in the church whether it be church leadership or other members. The word of God and those in Christ are enough.
