Thomas Van Der Plas Sure His love for his son can be great but we can CONCEIVE of something greater, namely, him loving his neighbor’s son as well.

Joshua Theo It’s possible for God to hate sinners while simultaneously loving them. Hence “When we were yet sinners, Christ died for us”. That’s why He has “a love than which no greater can possibly be conceived”. On Calvinism, this is false. We can conceive of a much greater love than a God who decrees people to hate/reject Him only for God to turn around and condemn those same people to burn in hell forever for things that they had no control over.
