God bless Dr Mazza! Fyi: As late as 2019 bishops raised to Cardinal by Bergoglio would go to Benedict’s residence at the Vatican and kiss his ring and receive his blessing!

I still don’t get how pope benedict not actually truly fully resigning but merely sorta kinda not actually totally resigning makes anything better. It makes him a villain who abandoned us and made way for this abusive stepfather Francis and actively endorsed him as the legitimate pope for a decade. If the esoteric true meaning of Benedict’s resignation makes Francis an antipope and Benedict the true pope until his death, then Benedict backed an antipope and was in schism with himself!? So we’re either left with one of the most erudite theologians in the church being so inept about the very canon law he helped write that he didn’t know how to adequately say “I quit,” or the professor of Regensburg enacted the most 4D chess masterminded plot to rescue the papacy via a sneaky technicality that few would even notice while he merely pretended to consent to the reign of the antipope Francis, or Pope Benedict was a coward who did flee for fear of the wolves and abandoned us to this abusive stepfather in Francis. So with respect to Dr. Mazza, I just don’t get this whole rabbit trail or how Benedict comes out looking good at all.

Benedict continued to live in the Vatican, he continued to wear white, he continued to give his Apostolic blessing in writing and in person, he continued to be visited by the new Cardinals upon their elevation by Francis in order to obtain his blessing. He obviously thought he continued to exercise the duties of pope in some way, to not have relinquished his role completely.

The idea that Ratzinger's erroneous idea of the papacy rendered his resignation invalid is the best solution to the problem of Bergoglio I have come across.
@jerroldbartholomew20387 ай бұрын
I believe Cionci does a better job of addressing all of the evidence, but Dr. Mazza certainly does help us understand many of the issues. The problem with Dr. Mazza's thesis is that he believes Pope Benedict misunderstood and misapplied the code of law that he largely wrote. Moreover, some of the changes in canon law specifically concern the issue of munus / ministerium. And we are to believe Pope Benedict didn't know what he was doing? Instead, it makes much more sense to see the Declaratio of Feb 11 as a declaration of an impeded see. This becomes clear (even if somewhat weird) when you follow Cionci's thinking about the twentieth hour on the medieval time system used on the clock of Castel Gandalfo where Pope Benedict gave his final public address. In short: Benedict's papacy was actually due to expire at 1PM on March 1st, but the conclave was convoked at noon that day. So the conclave was convoked before the See of Peter was vacated and was therefore an invalid conclave.

I'm completely on the side of Dr. Ed Mazza, Liz Yore, Arch Bishop Vigano. Bergoglio's pontificate is unprecedented in the dismantling of the deposit of faith, canceling bishops and priests. Yes at this point we must make prudential judgment on whether he is Catholic or not as strange as that is ... Bergoglio is not Catholic and no we are sede's we are thinking people. Just wait till tucho comes out with his document on transgenderism how much evidence does everybody need. The Freemasons are in the house.

Can you guys summarize the three positions or school of thoughts about the validity of Benedict’s resignation ? What each position means to our current condition of the Church and the next election of a new pope
@jerroldbartholomew20387 ай бұрын
1. Substantial error: Benedict tried and failed to bifurcate the papacy 2. May have tried to hang on, but didn't: Gaspers, etc. Benedict may have tried to hang on to some of the papacy, but he failed to do so. His effort was a novelty and impossible. There can only be one pope. 3. Cionci: Benedict declared an impeded see. He did not resign, but told the world that he was incapable of exercising the ministry due to exile, duress, or similar factors. He maintained a consistent code, i.e., speaking with a broad mental reservation that allowed him to say things that were true, but artfully stated so as to conceal the full meaning from bad people around him. It was like blinking sos while being held hostage. Of the three, I find Cionci the most compelling.

This would explain why Francis refuses the title of Vicar of Christ but instead wants to be called The Bishop of Rome. Even he is admitting by this that the Papacy is divided in two parts and that Benedict is the Vicar of Christ..
@karenalberini7147 ай бұрын
Pope John Paul 11 was much more frail than Pope Benedict and had people and resources to persevere in his papacy. Pope Benedict was Pope John Paul's right hand brother in Christ and I would think Pope Benedict would have been inspired to perseverre in shepherding Christ's church and sheep. Wouldn't a pope rather die as a martyr than be pressured by free masonry to turn his back on Christ. This must have taken great discernment . The only thing I can think of resigning is hearing right from God Himself or a threat to harm someone close to Pope Benedict .

We can't hear anything of the popes speech, even less of the Latin. Not quite sure why he was taking up so much time to show us Vatican translations of his speech. Which the previous 20+ years have shown we cannot trust when it comes to accurate conveying of information concerning the popes statements.

If the Jesuits are the military of the Vatican and Jesuit took over the duties of the Papacy, does this mean the Church is under martial law???? If so, now that Pope Benedict has passed shouldn't we elect a new Pope??? I am afraid that Pope Francis will be replaced by a AI creation similar to Vigano is an AI creation. Dr Moynihan -- I don't think it is wholesome for Dr Mazza to make a casual throw--away remark that Cardinal Marini is a '"bad dude". that is slander. You can criticize the stance taken by someone on the ordination of Women based on theology. If someone does not agree that doesn't make him a bad dude. that conclusion is also arrogant. The trouble with these kinds of remarks is that the whole interview gets downgraded from the viewpoint of authentic material.
