One thing y'all need to realise is that Kiryu's struggle is that he is terrified of reaching the point where he'd voluntarily kill. His previous kills in the games were forced upon him. There was no other choice, apart from standing still and receiving a bullet. Yakuza 6 literally culminates in that idea. He was perfectly willing to go the whole way and kill Iwami, who was defeated. Much like Kiryu, I wanted to see the guy dead too. Think about it, when you come back to reality and grasp that you were about to murder in the first degree. Consider the brain injuries Kiryu probably received getting hit on the head with that steel pipe. It's a physical and mentally traumatic experience. Kiryu's trying to rebuild his brain, by hiding in a monastery, getting smacked on the back with a bamboo sword, and racing tiny plastic cars on a magnetic track. The secret services will handle his affairs while he grinds himself to 100% completion. The final villain of this game will be Bob Otsunomiya, Kiryu will learn that he was loved for who he was, and will finally chill the F out and buy a Mazda.

I was looking for a comment like this. Yes, I absolutely did. Noticed it the second time I played it and paused the video. Notice how they didn't scroll all the way down the character list. @@Toe-collector The Battle Arena tournament would be the perfect opportunity to use Yagami as a playable character with all his moves. In the second trailer, we see a very short preview of the game mode and from what I saw, the moves they were using were not part of Joryu's Yakuza or Agent style, so that means the player would be able to use different movesets along with different characters. All I was saying, I just hope they take advantage of this opportunity to use Yagami, just like they used Sugiura. Why would they use Sugiura, but not Yagami...But even if they don't, hopefully someone can still make a moveset mod on pc that reimports Yagami and his moveset either as Joryu in the main story or in the Battle Arena. I just don't want to never be able to use Yagami's moveset in a different game and have it only limited to J and LJ. Edit: One thing I know for sure is that there **will** be moveset mods for this game just like there was for LJ. They would be well able to import Yagami and his moveset into the game somehow either as Joryu or as a side character in the Battle Arena. However, the only thing hindering them from doing so might be that Joryu only has two styles, so they might not be able to implement all four. But remember: LJ already has so many moveset mods including Kiryu's character and moveset. That's what made me think it's possible.

Seems more like he's realizing even if he tried staying away from the orphanage for the sake of them, they're still endangered. It's been years, the amount of emotions accumulated from noticing not only you'll have to face them (probably) and that their fate is in your hands is probably hella heavy. Last time I've seen full tears on Kyriu's face was when Tachibana died, this is not a vague reaction. Man's in the deep feelings. Considering he looks more chill in Infinite Wealth, his arc is probably going to close happily (I hope).

At this point I’d say anything before 6 hasn’t aged well gameplay wise sans the two Kiwami titles. I found them more of chore to go through than getting fun out of them… you’d be better off watching a long play to catch up story wise and even then they do drag a bit.

@@thekingofcookies4877 3 and 4 have definitely not aged well gameplay wise. 5 still has it, at a push, but it has so much bloatware gaming that it made getting through the story arc a complete chore. So, the only ones I found to be fun to play were the revised Kiwami versions, 0 and 6. I’ve not played Judgements, Ishin, FotNS or Like a Dragon as I have no interest in them either aesthetically or content wise. My comment was just about Yakuza one through to six and Zero.
