14:41 Plot twist: After disbanding the Tojo, they had to skip town due to anti-Yakuza laws. Saejima suggested to go to a small village in Sapporo to do hunting for a living. Daigo and Majima had to endure the whole hunting tutorial, and that's why they ended this way. Legends tell that after that day, no animals were left alive on that mountain. And sellers kept complaining about 9mm bullets and multiple stabs in their venison.

The japanese anti-yakuza law is very hard. Ex-Yakuza have no rights for 5 years. After 5 years they will be seen as civilians but its hard to survive these 5 years. It looks like the 3 work at a fishing company which is very common if ex-yakuza need work.

The brief glimpse at Sujimon battles confirmed that there was a female Sujimon, meaning there's a possibility of something horrible happening: Kiryu might actually harm a woman. It would be funny if he specifically couldn't do that, though.

That's what happened in y7 when you fought the kiryu clones in the amon fight. If you used the female characters in the party he would never target or attack them. He would only attack the male characters

If Kiryu dies, I'm gonna miss him, but I feel like this was the right move. It's now or never for a strong goodbye and this is looking like a good combination of a new Ichiban story and a proper farewell to our Dragon of Dojima. I respect it Also, HOLY SHIT I didn't realise that was real time combat as an option for Kiryu. He can temporarily break free from Ichi's Dragon Quest fantasy world. I love that xD

Honestly I’m split down the middle. One part, I agree this should be Kiryu’s last game and he can finally go out. On the other hand, I only hope they can do it right and give Kiryu the rest he clearly deserves, because this dude has been doing this for over 30 years. I just hope whatever happens, RGG sticks to it and we can see what happens. Though part of me wishes we can see a spin off game featuring Kiryu, Ichiban, and Yagami, this is for the best for him.

Agreed. I hope this is the game when he can retire. And I also wish that cancer isn't the one killing him for good. Or, at least, that we're not shown how he dies from it. Cancer just hits close to home for me. His identity has been revealed already, so if he were to survive and granted more years of living, he should quit for good and live his final days happily with Haruka and his grandson. She's his reason for living and what made he carry on from the very first game. We had too many gritty moments, I think he deserves some happiness. They might as well just switch Date's and Kiryu's dialog at the end of Y1. Date: "Well, I'm off." Kiryu: "Yeah... You're not coming back?" Date: "Who knows? If you give me a call, Kiryu-san... I might just appear." Kiryu: "I see. Unfortunately, that's not going to happen. I'm going to live with Haruka for a while. See what this "family life" is all about." Date: "Ah. Better for me to stay out of it then." Kiryu: "Yeah. No more stress-filled days for me." Date: "Goodbye. You stay away from the cops, all right?" Kiryu: "No need to worry. I have her with me now." Date: "That's true." Kiryu: "Yeah." Haruka: "Uncle Kaz!" "Let's go home."

I just want to think that the cancer was to nerf Kiryu, we know he solo'd the entire Ichi group in 7, so maybe the cancer was to make him weak, to justify him joining Ichi's group, just look at the dynamic scene between Ichi, Kiryu and Johnny Gat (i forgot Daniel Dae Kim's character's name) He was blocking Kiryu and Ichi, had this been a cancer free Kiryu, one on one was enough But really though, I just hope he won;t get the Arhur Morgan treatment, you know... The character being so strong, no one can take them out except natural causes, (RDR 2 Tubercolosis) EDIT: Internet is one crazy place 😂, can't even comment without people givin ya shit

I believe that sence where kiryu is with majima is where kiryu is saying goodbye to majima, daigo and saejima before leaving for usa and they are the first people ( besides kiryus doctor and maybe the daidoji faction) to know he has cancer The reason i believe this is because kiryu suit is the same one he has at end of gaiden trailer and the fact that majima says "if the dragon can't beat it no one can " and he said " you are getting old kiryu-chan" And im also getting the feeling the vtuber is going to be the new kume ( hoping to god that isn't the case because i hated kume ) Sorry if i typed some words incorrectly

The new captain of Seiryuu clan had a history with Yakuza and he wanted revenge while Sawashiro looked like he wanted Tojo Clan revival to fulfill Arakawa Masumi job after his son Masato's death. The Vtuber however just backed by rumors and Kiryu appearance during 2nd great dissolvement and his involment during gaiden so I don't think she would just simply doxxed Kiryu out of spite.

You what would be cool? The whole game was a plot by KIRYU. In Gaiden, we saw that he actually does have enemies within the Daidoji faction as well as out. So the whole thing was a ruse to lure out all this enemies in one spot, just like in 4. And once all of them have been taken out, he would finally retire. And the only reference about him are either mentions or letters. Like, he could finally win. The cancer could also be part of the ruse, or it might not. But I just want the man to win completely for once. Not some phrryric victory.

Calling it now, the cancer diagnostic is a red herring. Maybe kiryu will finally step down, sure, but by the end of the game I 100% believe kiryu will learn he's cancer free and his weakness was all mental before tearing shit up. At the very least I'm certain we'll have one final hoorah for kiryu, either the cancer goes into remission or he pushes past his limits to fight at his prior power. Either way, these trailers as well as the new persona 3 reloaded trailer AND the fact the two games will literally release with one week between them is putting amounts of hype in me my body can't handle.

From what we seen in this trailer, looks like Kiryu will finally reunite with Kashiwagi considering he thought he died during the events of Yakuza 3 (which is reasonable since he literally got gun down by a literal gatling gun). It is still sad Kiryu is now dying and everything he did is being undone now by this unknown antagonist. Now everyone are after his head again since he is publicly exposed to be still alive and adding more salt on the wound is that he still has great amount of regrets still lingering about Haruka and the other kids. However, with the truth exposed now, we may see Haruka, Yuta, Haruto, and the other kids reunite with him and hopefully give him a happy life during the small amount of time he has left. Kiryu deserves atleast that much before his death by Cancer after everything he went through. I am surprised they brought back Kaoru Sayama considering they removed her from Kiryu's life. Curious if she may have a larger role in this game due to how Kiryu is now exposed to be alive and his life is being threatened or just a side quest encounter

I don't mind them killing off Kiryu if they give him a proper good ending. Yakuza 6's ending never felt right to me. Kiryu having to become legaly dead and unable to be with his loved one's for sake of preventing a yakuza war seemed too cruel of an ending for a character like him. If he get's to spend his last few years at the orphanage surrounded by his loved ones, then I don't mind them killing him off. The man's done a lot and he deserves a happy ending. But maybe that's just my fairy tale desires of a fair world.

I'm hoping they don't kill Kiryu off. If they are choosing to write him out of the franchise, I think the ideal ending would be him either getting to say a proper goodbye to Haruka and then leaving, or perhaps they reunite and leave together for the United States or somewhere else. With Haruka being famous I'm not entirely sure how that could work, but it's not too much of a stretch considering all that's gone on in this franchise.

I’ve seen too many fake out deaths to believe Kiryu will die for real, making Kiryu suffer so much only to kill him and permanently stop him from getting his happy ending is something I can’t see happening, especially now that Kiryu’s identity has been exposed and the kids know he’s alive. I can see him being weakened to the point where he’s forced to completely retire, and will live under Daidoji protection at the orphanage. Kiryu taking a mentor role to Ichi while being unable to fight himself is something I’ve wanted to see since Ichi took over as protagonist

Honestly I rather have at least Akiyama, Tanemura and Shinada be Integrated with Ichiban and the rest of the cast going forward Majima falls in the camp with Kiryu regarding people that should finally rest Saejima is old but looks healthy and Daigo is the only "young" guy that could still be around for the future

I absolutely love Kiryu. And the fact that we're getting more Kiryu, I'll always be happy. But one thing that I don't like is the fact that in Yakuza 6, Kiryu literally "died" for his family, saying that he would cease to exist for them to be safe. Because as long as he was alive, they would use his family as bait to get to Kiryu. And IMMEDIATELY AFTERWARDS, his family is still getting pulled into the crosshairs to make him do stuff. I thought Yakuza 6 was supposed to be his finale end-all be-all sort of thing. It sort of makes me wonder like... What was even the point of him going that far to fake his death when at this point it almost means nothing now. Almost like Kiryu's whole purpose is just to be depressed and lose everything. Man is literally too strong to die, so life had to take everything else away from him

I think everyone may get a real time combat action based on the way it was activated which was the infinite symbol and everyone else had one. I could be wrong but hopely I'm not cuz it was cool to see if every small move set with real time combat.

There are 2 things I believe that will not be handled well, one is the long-lost mother and the other one is the whole love interest of ichiban (Saeko) the reason why i believe this is because in the game trailer there was a segment shown where there will be a minigame regarding ichiban going on dates. As for Kiryu revealing his secret, that part should've been kept as a surprise.

As much as I adore Kiryu and wish he’d actually get the good things in life, I’m probably one of the few people who wish he’d die in Yakuza 6. He’s time was good and well spent. It would be very good to let him die here.
