Diedrich (the German guy) literally appeared in episode 2 of season 1, and then again briefly in the flash back in book of circus. He just looks a bit...chonky now.

Even I, who reread the manga multiple times, didn't get that the chunky guy who appeared at the manga ch 2 is actually Diedrich, until he appeared in Green Witch Arc. It was never stated anywhere - the identity of the chonky man - until much later. I thought Diedrich became an old, slim, hot daddy, but nope, he chonky 😂 But whtever. Those r just my opinions. If you still don't think that's a spoiler, then you do you. I'm not gonna argue abt this forever, lol. *edit: Even from back then, I'm aware that the chubby man's identity was speculated to be Diedrich, bc he ate sandwiches (his signature dish apparently, lol), wore a military uniform, and was shown as one of the Evil Noblemen. But that's just it; a speculation, theory. It was never a confirmation, until Green Witch Arc.
