To write song as good as this, and for it to stay relevant all this time later is a real testament to how talented he is.

I got back into playing guitar just to try to play his songs. When I started a year ago I could barely play them, now I can play and sing a lot of them. I recently just learned this one.

I have listened to him for over ten years too. I shed many tears listening to this song.

Holy crap! How could he write a song like this at 17?
@alltheworldsadream9 жыл бұрын
He played this a little different back then. He use to use a pic and up'd the tempo a little more. As the years have gone by you can tell he's messed around with this song a little bit. Adding more licks to the guitar, and maturely emotionally through vocals. It's amazing what time will do to a song. Especially when you have unique talent like this man writing it.

Beautiful. I like how he looks up at the end, quick smile and nod to the crowd as if he just realized they were still there. Haha love it!

This should have 47 million views! Edit: I can't believe he wrote these lyrics at the age of 17. I did nothing at 17. Absolutely nothing.

I love this video because nobody in the audience is talking at all. It just dead silent. God I wish I lived in England to experience a quiet concert and to see Dallas play hometown glory live!!

This is so wonderfully chilling I don't even know how to cope. This song just lets my soul bleed out just enough to heal back up. Thank you so much!! And how freakin incredible is it that he wrote this at 17! My god! Im 17 now and have a hard time even writing down hat I have to do for the day. COMPLETELY IN LOVE!

The quality of this is amazing and its such a beautiful gig!! Plus I love that audience was so respectful and cheered at appropriate times and wasnt talking when he played. Thats the respect this man deserves. What a legendary artist he's making himself to be! Dallas is the man! Thanks for recording and uploading this for everyone! :)

This guys is simply awesome! He has a voice tht just carries so well. You Sir are a true singer/songwriter thank you for not giving up! This also show the world you don't need booming bass and funky dance moves and other crap to make great music. Just real talent needed.

I was at this too. Must be honest, shed a tear during this song. The whole night Dallas seemed totally humbled by the experience and when he mentioned it was the first song he ever really wrote and put it in context I was just like "WwwaahhhhhhHH" aka cried like a little girl. Dallas Green is a genius. Anyone else find it hilarious yet a little embarassing when someone shouted out "because he goes balls deep" when Dallas was explaining why his lighting guy was a legend? hahaha. bad.

just saw Dallas and the Colour last nite opening for Pink in St Paul, MN. The crowd put forth a lukewarm reception (but weren't rude and, understandably, they were there to see Ms Pink) but I soaked in every minute. He was mesmerizing and his band was tight like a tiger....

Hey dude, I went to your site, I like it, but you need a better recording system. I recommend recording each instrument individually, and multiple mics for the drum set, and if you can't afford that, invest in an electric drum set. Also, try to mix it a little better, the drums need to be louder, and the voice not so overpowering. Sick song though!

Lol, this comment didn't age well. This song's recording became famous all over the world.
