The power of this song is like no other. I’ve listened 1000 times already and I still get punched right in the gut and my heart feels again. "Ladies and Gentleman... Mr Dallas Green!" - I think this is on the live version In Brixton Academy from 2007, it's an album version recording of the live performance. I'm not 100% sure if it's that one or another one from the same time period, but it's worth a listen because it's so well performed and when the post-hxc vocalist says that line, it's so so so good.

Not really. Dallas was one of the guitarists and did the clean vocals for Alexisonfire. City and Colour is a side project that Dallas eventually decided to focus his efforts on full time.
