Man this song takes me back. I remember when this album dropped I played it to death. Wish I could go back to the early 2010’s, kinda dumb to say that considering it wasn’t that long ago. Was just a better time for me, better than it is now. I miss being a carefree teenager. Metalcore was peaking around that time as well. All I had to worry about was going to school then finding a sack of weed after school and chillin lol 😂

2011-2013 was the prime years for metalcore and of course rise records too. Unfortunately newer generations ruined the music industry and rise records is helping that by encouraging or forcing bands to change their sounds to radio rock.
@DCT976 жыл бұрын
no one dude I know right? Early 2010’s was peak metalcore. It wasn’t mainstream but it was so fucking popular for a more underground and non-radio friendly genre. Everybody and their dog had at least one BMTH song on their phone. So many good albums between 2009-2013
@DCT976 жыл бұрын
But yeah a lot of those bands have sadly abandoned their metalcore sound in favor of a more radio friendly alternative rock.
@Kingofconsoles546 жыл бұрын
@@DCT97 I know exactly how you feel. And the sad part about this is that most bands didn't even care about the genre like at all. They only did metalcore because it was popular at that time. They say "we grew out of the genre" but in reality they hated the genre from the start. For me I have been listening to metal, metalcore, post-hardcore, deathcore, electronic core, hardcore, etc since I was a kid. The metal genre is 99% of what I listen to every single day and I will probably never stop.
@DCT976 жыл бұрын
no one same here man. My uncle bought me a Korn CD when I was like 10 and I’ve never looked back. I agree a lot of bands were just capitalizing on the metalcore wave and the popularity of warped tour and never really loved the music they were making. Just looking to make some quick $$$. As much as I hate to say it a band like ADTR or Bring Me The Horizon have really abandoned that OG sound in favor of getting played on the radio, and Caleb Shomo letting Attack Attack die just to form Beartooth who I’m not really a fan of, they just don’t do it for me, not heavy enough, and not a lick of breakdowns. But there’s still many who hold the flag high. And I’m thankful for those bands. Like Moths To Flames, Attila, Miss May I, they still gladly rep metalcore/post-hardcore. Hell even I See Stars are still heavy as fuck. I really thought they’d sell out
@DCT976 жыл бұрын
