I love when Metalcore bands make songs like this. It's a good way to show that a so-called "screamo" band can make really beautiful music as well. One of my favorites from this album.

I hadn't heard of them until I saw them at warped tour and I was hooked. Bought this album immediately after their set and have been a fan since. This is one of my faves.

@jamesmccartney96239 жыл бұрын
This song is probably in my top 3 favorite LMTF songs, only problem is I know I'll never see it played live since Chris can't perform these vocals live. Im not bashing him hes a great vocalist, but you know when you scream during your set and youre on tour it takes a toll on your vocal chords etc...
@josbudon92459 жыл бұрын
I think it's more the fact that they don't wanna do this song live because of the meaning. Their shows are crazy af and it's more about moshing and beating up their exes rather than a song like this with a slower more emotional feel. That and how hard it is to scream and then do a song with all cleans. Great song, one of my faves but it just wouldn't match their set
@Alesanahxc11 жыл бұрын
Such an amazing song. Gives me goosebumps. Feels like these bands write these songs for you.
@metalcorehardcorepost-hard3649 Жыл бұрын
I like how this is one of the few "softer" Post-Hardcore songs of this album, compared to the other much heavier Metalcore songs. This was in fact the first song of this band I randomly discovered a few years back, got hooked instantly. Didn't even know they actually make much heavier stuff than this, took me some years to finally give them a try and now I notice this band is quite underrated for what they've put out

this is how a heavy band releases a soft track and makes it OKAY. all the tracks on this album were heavy as all hell, and because of that theres nothing wrong with one nice soft track being on there. everyone will actually love it that way. this track is really good but if they released an entire album of tracks like this everyone would have a shitfit.
@MitchellDee1710 жыл бұрын
Their first album was heavier though. :p

Mike Walhorizon that's your opinion lol i disagree. i love "when we don't exist"
@MitchellDee1710 жыл бұрын
Mike Walhorizon you're free to have that opinion. :P i like the heavier drums in the first album. songs on eye for an eye feel slower. not saying thats forreal bad but..
@greenmilklatte10 жыл бұрын
Anyone who complains about a band having diverse songs on their album is just dumb lol An album SHOULD have song diversity! It's annoying when I go to a song and everyone's like "This band used to be so heavy! What the hell happened?!" It's called go to the other songs on the album, dufus haha
@MitchellDee1710 жыл бұрын
Chris Cartwright I really hope you're not taking a shot at me with your comment cuz I do like the album & listened through it. In Dreams is my 2nd favorite song.
@kevdun42011 жыл бұрын
I can relate to it perfectly, it's about being knee deep in depression and losing yourself in the web of bullshit that life throw's at you. Not knowing who you are anymore, and not knowing where to turn when you life seem's fucked in general. "waited for signs from a distant place." Chris is saying that God let him down too many times and he's starting to rely on himself. This is amazing, really makes you feel better when you know someone is going through the same shit.
@kevdun42011 жыл бұрын
I agree 100%. Chris puts so much emotion in his vocal's, just think of how amazing it would be acoustic.
