No, HF is not what you would call "a Christian Group" in the sense of "what they sing is religious songs". They are billed as country, but they do all sorts of genres - Sacred, Silly, patriotic, R&B, Soul, 90s country, 70s rock, anything from 40's country to current pop is fair game for them. With 5 tenors, 4 baritones, 3 basses, at least 1 (possibly 3) altos, and 5 beatboxers they are able to successfully do a wide range of music. They just changed out the high tenor this past week. The new one appears to have about the same range as Austin, so those #s won't change much, if at all. They have about 190 official music videos, so just pick a # and go enjoy. Word of warning about who is who - releases from before mid-2016 have Chris Rupp as baritone instead of Adam Chance as bass/baritone. Chris was one of the founders of the group along with his brother Adam - the beatboxer, who sang It is Well in this.

This hymn definitely makes me emotional--Home Free's version is my very favorite version of all the many, many I have heard 😍 Besides the unbelievable 5-part harmony--and gorgeous backdrop of the Austrian Alps--getting to hear Adam Rupp's sweet tenor actually singing is a real treat ❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️ #HomeFree #AdamRuppSinging

I always love to hear their 5 part harmonies! The beatboxer Adam has a beautiful tenor voice and you can hear him clearly in the It Is Well section. You would love their rendition of Oh Holy Night and Amazing Grace done with Peter Hollens. They filmed this in the Austrian Alps when the were on tour in Europe. The song you heard a snippet of at the end is My Church and definitely worth a listen! I just love these boys! ❤ Thank you for a wonderful reaction!

Austin has left the group a lot earlier than expected and Adam Bastien Aka Bastien has taken his place. Bastien used to sub for one of the tenors when Home Free first started and also was a member of Chris Rupp's group 7th Ave Bastien did his first concert with Home Free at the Country Rumble Fest in Lima,Ohio June 21 and The Grand Ol Opry June 22

You're right...the background looks like it comes out of "The Lord of the Rings". I believe they said it's in Austria. This group is phenomenal...the harmony they produce, is the closest thing to heaven.

I would say most are believers but I don’t know if they’re all Christians. They do sing beautiful songs and hymns though. They sing all genres of music. You might enjoy End of the Road and Blue Ain’t Your Color. I love this one! They sang it in the Austrian Alps while they were touring there. It’s so beautiful. Reminds me of the Grand Tetons in Wyoming.

Home Free From the Vault Episode 8 is eight minutes of behind the scenes of filming this video near the gorgeous Austrian Alps. They've started the From the Vault series up again and just posted episode 25 for their video for Love Train.

Been watching these guy's for years. They are absolutely the best acapella group out there. And yes, they sound like angels when I die. This is the song I want to hear going to heaven. Just listen to Tim sing in his bass voice. He's singing. Tim is phenomenal. And the rest of the guys are just absolutely unbelievable. Thanks for the video brother

This was filmed in the Austrian Alps and although there's no beatboxing, we get to hear Adam sing a few lines. There's a live version of them singing this "Home Free Kearney": kzbin.info/www/bejne/iaC5d4OspZ2JnpYsi=go4dBIgbX5TNxJ62. They're singing for fans, in a pavilion during a thunderstorm. While standing on a picnic table (without mics, etc.) with flickering lights, wind & thunder. Gorgeous & simply jaw-dropping.

One of the most moving numbers ever! Since several people were recording it from various distances and angles there are more than half a dozen different videos of that one event. I've found seven.

How do 5 guys end up sounding like the Mormon tabernacle choir?

I think the behind the scenes from filming this music video is on their channel, in the "From the Vault" category. You might find it fun. Unlike opera singers, these guys are used to singing into microphones. Low notes especially, are hard to get the power and cut, to be heard well outside. Plus there is noise from the wind, and the noises from the drone. So I doubt this song would sound anything like the recording, unless you were standing really close. Still a beautiful song. And well sung.
