Having been a huge fan of George since 2013, I think his time as Filthy Frank gives his fanbase a unique level of familiarity and connection that not many other celebrities have. In my opinion, he's kept his private life separate enough that I wouldn't say we grew up alongside him as a person, but we definitely grew up alongside his art, which is just as special. His influence and talent is much more widespread than anyone gives him credit for.

this song is and was, very special to me, the album debut was during my first big relationship, one i truly and wholeheartedly wished would never end, I'd waste away my days planning our future, making playlists to send, drawings, songs, we would spend nights awake talking and days together laughing at how silly it was that we met each other when we did, and i remember hearing this song and crying realizing that love would most definitely end, we were too young and inexperienced to make do with our flaws and mistakes, even though our love was strong and truly everlasting, and in the aftermath "our songs" would become "bittersweet lullabies" i can say that after hearing this i saw it all in my mind again, every part of it replayed, but knowing now that it's over, and your remix got a sorrowful smile out of me, thanks for making me feel something good about that time again

i’m so happy george moved into music from youtube as he was far too talented to continue the filthy frank stuff, as great as he was at it but at the same time i do miss seeing more of him in footage etic. his latest album felt like it had a lot less promotion and build up less with him compared to nectar. I haven’t been fortunate enough to go see him in concerts like some friends of mine but i’ve heard he’s incredible and really entertaining. Just wish we could see more of it online. Great edit btw!
