Lost in the Citadel - I am 44 and listen to all kinds of genres of music. I grew up with the hair bands of the 80's, alternative 90's, thrash metal, classic rock, etc. There are a lot of sub-categories of Rock. If it has to be categorized, I would say this song would be - Modern Soft Rock / Alternative. It's not "hard enough", no pun intended - 😆, to be considered as a more traditional sounding Rock song. That's my two cents as a Rock fan. Side note, Y.I. and Sound, I live out in AZ now, but I'm originally from Lynn, MA, which is next to Salem, MA. Salem has the oldest candy store in the US - Shane Confectionery, which/witch opened in 1863. Keep up the good work gentlemen.

You were speculating about what rock fans think of Lost in the Citadel. I’m a long time rock and metal fan. I like it a lot. It’s definitely not as heavy as most of what I listen to (Life After Salem is closer to my usual lane), but I think it’s well executed pop punk. That said, Lil Nas X is actually the only non rock/metal artist that I consider myself to be a fan of. (Actually, there’s also Pentatonix.) I like every song on MONTERO, and I don’t usually like pop at all. I also don’t generally listen to rap or hip hop, but I’m warming up to that lane a little. I’ve heard people say they hope LNX finds his musical lane. I actually hope he keeps mixing it up.
