Funny thing is I find with Peep's songs. Listen to it the first time and think 'meh' then keep coming back to it, and after 3-4 listens am pure obsessed. And with regards to lyrics I find they're purposely simple. I've dealt with depression for years and Peeps simple dark lyrics hit me more than any other artist.

Lil Peep will grow on you usually and when he does you ain't getting rid of him. I found one song in the beginning I liked by him and by now I've had too many of his songs on repeat 24/7 at one point or another. Shit is haunting, emotional and honest. All it takes is one song in the beginning though. It can be music you bump with your friends in the car like witchblades or it can also be just something you listen by yourself when you're feeling nostalgic and melancholic like gym class. Also benz truck is usually very well received by new lil peep fans.

Lil peep is a great artist, I have been loving your channel for a while now and I thought you would be enchanted by lil peeps music. This isn’t at all his best song, the biggest reason it blew up is because the video was released after his death. Some of his darker songs really show you what was going on in his mind as he took those drugs that would eventually kill him. These songs are so chilling knowing how depressed he was and how he felt. I think you should definitely react to his darker songs because of this, and I think you will love him as an artist. These songs include: better off (dying); haunt u; the way I see things. Beamerboy, Praying To the Sky, Cobain, Problems.Girls, The way I See Things, I crash U Crash, Star Shopping, Ghostgirl. Crybaby. He has a lot of really good tracks imo. The guy had a way with words. He was really deep lyrically if you listen to more of his tracks. It's almost like he predicted his own overdose by accident in his lyrics for a persona of being suicidal. But his death wasn't suicide but an accidental overdose. You have to understand that he made a ton of music in only like 2 years. You can't really compare him to 6ix9ine because that guy wasn't even known when Peep was alive. Peep is his own sound and it's kind of cheap how you discovered him after his death. The guy has a lot of clout in the underground. He was still in the underground before his death too. Much respect to Peep, he was on the verge of being a huge star even though he was really popular when he died.
