Im a Black man from San Diego. I want to say that Lil Rob is a musical legend that transcends race. Best commercial Mexican rapper ever. I dont know about his street cred nor do I want to know, thats not my call or my community (even though I grew up with alot of good mexican brothas). He is good people. I walked into a restaurant here in San Jo and first person I saw was Lil Rob. I right away said his name in disbelief and he turned around and was like, Yea what’s up, it’s me. And shook my hand. I asked him for picture and everything. I couldn’t help it and felt embarrassed, especially since I have never done that but felt Lil Rob was good people. He said he was partner to the business I was visiting and it made me proud to be a brown person seeing a brown person make it. He’s a legend in my books and I wish him well.
