issue is these "artists" think they do all the work when the reality is there's so much that goes into the actual business. its one thing to have a product, its another to sell it and that can be applied to every industry. really these artists mass produce songs, that's what they're paid to do. every artists signed will tell you that they are sitting on hundreds of unreleased songs, its not hard work if they're just doing what they would be doing anyway. being an artist is easy, finding the team to back you and push you further its the hard part.

You need promotion but artists come and go so longevity is wild you sound kind of like a hater that you don’t get credit for “pushing a record” or whatever you think that is so much better then the actual music creator because I wouldn’t care about the artist or whoever “put them on” if the music is ass.

Why is this guy talking like the artist has nothing to do with its rise to fame? The label did everything?
@NeiasaurusCreations4 жыл бұрын
Because it isn't about the artist's talent, it's about if his deal was fair or not. And the record label undoubtedly contributed to his success and fame, massively. There's a lot of "talented" people in this world, and not all of them get famous. It takes MORE than just talent, and something like a label can make a star quite literally from scratch. Hell, we have a prime example incorporate created "boy bands", and the way they engineered that. So it can't really be denied that the label contributed MASSIVELY to his success, and the reward they got was having to deal with a passive-aggressive cunt shitting on their names and reputation. Maybe you should read the title of a video, and listen to what the video is about before you ask stupid questions, might answer the question if you take like 10 seconds to actually think about it...Assuming you're capable of thought, which has yet to be seen.

@Pixel Smile Yeah and how many artists are good, and never get a penny because no one knows about them? Plenty, because talent isn't rare, we all know one person that has exceptional skill at something that could get them fame, but chances are, they never will. Because talent alone isn't enough to become famous.
@iforgot11354 жыл бұрын
Neiasaurus Creations all it takes is social media. Broadcasting that talent over time will gain fans. If you are persistent you don’t need labels. You just gotta know what you’re doing and be consistent. You’d be surprised what can happen when you believe in yourself and go all out
@NeiasaurusCreations4 жыл бұрын
@@iforgot1135 No, it takes a lot more than that. Social media is great, but it's still very unlikely he'd be remotely the same fame level as he currently is. The label probably spent hundreds of thousands perhaps millions of dollars on his career. That's kinda why people get labels, to get that money backing them.

When rappers blow up they always want better points and more money but forget they were ABSOLUTE ZEROS before the people they signed with gave them A1 PRODUCTION, BEATS, AND EVERYTHING ELSE. They deserve an ENORMOUS piece of the pie for that.
@JxcksonSF5 жыл бұрын
the label already got paid you dumbass, they make more money than the artist itself.
@scopemaverick87335 жыл бұрын
They actually do not. A piece and a good one, yes. Enormous? No. If an artist actually writes their own songs and performs the songs then without them those people have no act (if the artist doesn't even write their own material, then it's a completely different story). That's called an investment. There's no guarantee of success. When it blows, you eat. When it doesn't, you eat it. Lawyers don't gouge their clients. When you win, they win and they take a reasonable percentage. Hence why there aren't millions of "independent" lawyers walking into courtrooms. This is why record labels are beginning to become less of a necessity. They ate themselves out of the kitchen.

Hearing the shit about DJ diamonds really struck a chord.. Being a producer myself, its always us that work alongside ordinary people giving them somewhat of a platform to build upon and launch their career but soon as their shit hits mainstream or they take even the slightest of a W, their humble beginnings morph right into superiority complexes.. Everybody nowadays only ever credit their success to themselves without taking a minute to credit everybody else involved in the process like being humble is just no longer a thing anymore..

there's hundreds of thousands of artists with amazing music that nobody will ever hear. A team and hundreds of thousands of dollars being invested is a MAJOR factor in his success. Not to say his hard work and talent didn't help but thats the reality. It's the American Music Business. Key word business.

regular people don't understand that just because your "career" is doing well doesn't mean that the rest of your life can't suffer. if an artist doesn't feel like he is in control of his own work, no Grammy nomination or plaque can make up for that.
