Young money was and always will be legendary. Tyga did what he had to do even tho he’s said he didn’t make money from the group but Wayne’s influence is unmatched. No way tyga would have had the career he’s had without Wayne. I love seeing this

He didn’t say “he didn’t make money from the group”, he said Cash Money didn’t pay him. Young Money & Cash Money are 2 separate labels. Wayne also sued Cash Money & Universal over unpaid royalties, advances, copyrights etc. Young Money wasn’t the problem, Cash Money was. And instead of Birdman paying Tyga, he released Tyga from YMCMB, which Wayne was upset about because he didn’t want Tyga to leave, nor did Birdman ask for Wayne’s permission. Cash Money is my favorite label ever but artists & producers have been suing Baby & Slim since the 90’s because they don’t pay them. Birdman calls Wayne his son and he made Cash Money a billion dollar company, yet he didn’t even pay Wayne & Young Money what they were owed

I enjoyed this interview. I can tell they know each other. Tyga hit the nail on the head about a lot of artists not having a "camp" anybody that was near Lil Wayne, mentored by him, listened to him it helped them shape their craft and persona to continue to make great music even after not being around them (Lil wayne, etc) says A LOT. Lil Wayne is smart and knows his craft and knows how to shape his artists. I love that Tyga continued to praise Wayne he looks up to him.
