it just comes down to in reality that there is good and bad of everyone .. of course others had a harder time coming up no doubt but in this day and age, for a while, anyone can make it..it truly comes down to childhood and your will to make it out... personality ambition and talent ..and if you dont have those traits yet thats okay we should lift eachother up until you can be strong enough to do it.. i dont see how anyone thinks otherwise except deep rooted hate and being close minded or like a chip on your shoulder.. i hope one day we can overcome this .. he was also saved by a white cop so this has also set his mind in a certain way, of course hes not going to believe racism exists , bad people exist ... people express hatred or discrimination towards specific people usually not because they are racist, but because theyve experienced something or were grown up that way and never came out of it.. anyone can come out from it but some never do out of stubbornness and those are just bad people showing us why we need to do better ..i was in a time and place where i had to save someone and nothing else crossed my mind during that besides holy f this human being does not deserve to die this can not happen .. nothing about race ... this is one thing ill never understand because i guess i havent experienced it on others levels but i just cant help but think why are we as a whole are so hell bent on it ? the majority of us dont think that way or at least they dont right away and i think its a tiny bit good we can see who is like that and stay far away from them and let them waste away...

I stumbled upon this randomly and what a full circle moment. Wayne gave an interview with MTV behind the music circa a decade ago and this story was told from a comply different perspective, one filled with bravado and hyper masculinity. The truth behind the event is not only heart breaking but so commendable. I’m so happy he got to this point and that I, a life long fan got a chance to see one of my favs in a different light. Love you always Tunchi,

He wrote about this in ‘Let it all work out’ - Carter 5: “I found my momma's pistol where she always hide it I cry, put it to my head and thought about it Nobody was home to stop me, so I called my auntie Hung up, then put the gun up to my heart and pondered Too much was on my conscience to be smart about it Too torn apart about it, I aim where my heart was pounding I shot it, and I woke up with blood all around me It's mine, I didn't die, but as I was dying God, came to my side and we talked about it He sold me another life and he made a profit” A lot of people didn’t realize how much Wayne opened up in Carter 5 including songs like Don’t Cry and Open Letter. He has overcome a lot and I respect him for healing himself and others along the way

One of the biggest causes of mental health issues are parents. Its sometimes taboo to call out your parents bs bc they raised you and everything, but as a kid, youre soaking up everything around you, including your parents bs. It lays the foundation, and it may take the rest of your life to tear that foundation down or build your own on top of it. Many parents pass on their trauma and hatred, sometimes knowing and sometimes unknowingly. And it sucks bc as a kid, theyre the only ones you can rely on so you cant even cut off the cause of toxicity.

I broke down a little watching this, I struggled so much with mental health & it took years for me to even accept the truth. I still cry when I see scars from my attempted suicide in Highschool. I just wish I knew how to be vulnerable. How to communicate. I wish I had the strength to attack my trauma instead of trying to suppress memories and deal with nightmares at night. Wayne, really gave me a spark after this. Covid has me to vet thinking about myself and everything so much.

Mom had me at 15 was a stripper..I tried to end my life by pumping air from a needle into my vein. I remember walking around mute for days. I could not speak. I just wanted everything to end. Then I cried out to God to take me when I did that. Somehow I survived but the very next day a social worker approached me. She asked me if I wanted to go to a foster home. Tears began to fill my eyes I nodded. And so I lived happier there for a year. Life can get hard...Faith is vital. I struggle with prayer what to say... thank you for this vid. ❤

If you die tonight, do you know where you're going? Did you know that Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven and He loves you? Through Him, God offers you a FREE gift - forgiveness. All you need to do is repent, turn away from your sins and evil ways, from now on put your faith completely in Jesus Christ and be obedient to Him. Explanation: God doesn’t want anybody in hell because He loves us, but you must understand why we deserve hell and why those who refuse to live under His authority will go there. (Matthew 12:30) ''Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.'' He gave us the law (Ten Commandments) not to make us righteouss, but rather to show us our sin (Romans 3:20). God gave us free will and since Adam sinned in the garden, sin is the nature of our flesh and we’ve all sinned. (Romans 3:23) and the law demands death to those who sin (Romans 6:23). For someone to be justified before God they have to be sinless, that's why everyone need Jesus Christ. None of us are good in God’s eyes, because for God good means moral perfection. We all have broken God’s commandments, we all have sinned in our lives so none of us are good. ‘’For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.’’ (James 2:10). ‘’For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.’’ (John 3:16) That’s why only Jesus can save us, because He lived a perfect and sinless life and is the only worthy sacrifice and died for our sins. We aren’t saved based on our good deeds/works, but only by the grace of God through faith. ''For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9) He said ‘’it is finished’’ (John 19:30), which means He paid the fine for our sins (past, present, future) to be forgiven if we repent and trust in Him. ‘’Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.’’ (Acts 3:19) Biblically, a person who repents does not continue willfully in sin. Repentance is a turning from sin, and it always results in changed behavior (Luke 3:8). While sorrow from sin is not equivalent to repentance, it is certainly an element of scriptural repentance (2 Corinthians 7:10). Do not play a hypocrite. (John 3:3) Jesus replied, "Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again." If you confess that Jesus is Lord (John 10:30) and believe that God raised Him from the dead, then you’ll be saved. (Romans 10:9) When you believed, you were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession-to the praise of His glory. (Ephesians 1:13-14) You are born again with the spirit of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him. (John 3:36) We are living in the last days and Jesus Christ will return soon. Get right with God and start your relationship with Jesus Christ right now before it’s too late, because there’s not much time left!. "But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.’’ (Mark 13:32) You may start with a simple prayer from the bottom of your heart, TRULY believing that God listens and cares. (Jeremiah 29:13) ''You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.'' Get to know Christ through His word. At first I recommend reading Gospel of John and book of Romans. God bless you!

Yes this, I’ve gotten into arguments with my no good of a father (context: estranged to me/abusive and used to be out of our lives for us older siblings) just because I tell my younger brother he doesn’t have to be alone and “tough it out”. I tell him crying is not weak, that’s actually supposed to help you as crying is not an emotion or feeling, but a way to help you relieve and cope and to be frank, that is quite natural. Your body produces this stuff naturally and it’s normal. Lool I’ll stop my rant Edit: And for people who say that that is making them soft, I will say this.. The more you refrain and hold it in, the more you will cry so actually that’s getting to be found counterproductive

Thank you so much for sharing this lil Wayne. Much respect! I have a few diagnosis myself. I cried from deep inside me watching this. I feel you. I'm so glad you're still here. You are appreciated and loved by many. And for the 5.0. that stepped over you...broke my heart. I've had the looks and I know how humans can be. Straight cruel. See ya on the other cause I know you'll be there. ❤ 🙏 we're highly blessed.

At the end of the day God should be your idol because he created these celebrities the same way he created you. Their status or fame does not make them any less human than you are. It is okay to love ppl for their creativity and their way of expressing their craft, but to say someone is your idol when they're just as imperfect as you are does not sit well with God

A deep respect for both Lil Wayne and Acho for having this conversation in such a perfect way. It is so true, how mental health doesn't discriminate. It just doesn't care who you are! This was so beautifully done. So I am a grandma-aged white woman, who has been a fan for years. My kids used to get in the car when I picked them up from school and say, "Mom, why are you listening to rap?" I said, well I am bored with classical, jazz, country, and rock and I like this too. LOL

Thank you to Lil Wayne and Emmanuel for being so personal it’s really touching and special for many of us who also battle. Please get help if you are struggling the National Hotline is 9-8-8.
