Yachty isn't doing anything different. In fact his vocals are the weak point of the album for me, while instrumentals seem to be written by other people. So reading this album is like Pink Floyd's music "reincarnated and modernized" just leaves the same bad taste in my mouth as hearing Greta Van Fleet.

bless this interview My whole first experience with lil yachty was about 2 weeks ago - Poland randomly came on in a playlist, i thought it was neat but ultimatly kind of a joke. Couple of days later i'm seeing music channels saying that the same lil yachty made a psych rock album - i couldnt quite marry the idea of this joke song about taking the wock to poland with something akin to Tame Impala, this had to be investigated. 57 minutes of bliss later, and you have my full attention and my respect Yachty. This is a beautiful album, and i cannot wait to hear/see where he goes next.

Not gonna lie, I was a Yachty back in the early days of his career. But the more I hear him talk the more I like him, like music aside. And all the press he's been doing leading up to this album has really impressed me. I think the album is ambitious and powerful and that is something I never expected to hear from Yachty.
