Is it possible to beat Borderlands 2 as a Sheriff's Posse? What if we tried it on OP10? Can we beat Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode and finally bring order to this chaotic planet? Borderlands, Borderlands 2, Borderlands the Pre-sequel, and Borderlands 3 all have guns that can get pretty wacky, but wacky doesn't always mean good. In this challenge run, we try to beat the game as a bunch of cowboys trying to bring law to Pandora (it kinda worked okay)! Want to see me try this challenge with a different gun, grenade, or shield? Comment below on what gun, grenade, or even shield I should try next! Any gun in any game (Borderlands 1, Borderlands 2, Borderlands the Pre-Sequel, Borderlands 3, and hopefully Wonderlands!)
Pandora has always been a lawless place, but what if we wanted to bring some order to this wasteland of a planet, Today we ask, Can you Beat Borderlands 2 as A Sheriff’s Posse. To start let me tell yall that exactly this challenge is. First, off the basic rules we will attempt to beat the game at OP10 UVHM, to the new borderlands recruits that pretty much just means the hardest difficulty and that everything is 10 levels higher than us. And no BAR, allowed. On the fun stuff, I will play as the sheriff and the others will be my deputies, The challenge is mostly centered around these badges, therefore, I will be running jacobs pistols while the deputies run Jacob's shotguns. The badges also provide us all with the extra fight for your life based on how many deputy badges are equipped, so I get an extra 60% while everyone else got an extra 30. And for the real kicker, if the sheriff dies (das me) at any point, I must save quit, and reset the map. This means my survival is of the utmost importance. Last thing before we get started ill show yall the rest of the gear and builds, we all have a basic shield and low-level grenade mod just for slagging purposes and in the COM slot I will be running the Legendary titan for tackiness, and the deputies will be running the Legendary Gunzerker coms for some DPS and longer Gunzerk duration. Here are the builds so that all the sal mains can make me cry in the comment section, For the duties, I pretty much gave them an AI-generated Deputy sal build, they all have 2 shotguns out instead of the usual grog and ladyfish in the main hand so I had to change some stuff to compensate for that. As for the sheriff build, I decided to suffer a bit and not give myself too much DPS but on the other hand, I have the most deadly skill combo in the game. That’s the right baby we're bringing the stinky back. Okay now that that’s all out of the way let's get into the run. With my trained deputies, wait you guys are trained right? Raise your hand if you’ve played deputy sal before, okaaaay raise your hand if you’ve ever played sal before…. (shotgun) Oh god what did I get myself into? Dude an all caustic build for this playthrough, grenade has to be acid rain, and no slag allowed(unless it's from an ability skill/perk), characters are either Maya, or gunzerker. Spam middle finger as often as possible. I put the stinky on em playthrough.

Quick question: If I were to do this challenge, could I add the Twister or the Hydra? The reason why I ask is because these weapons are also available as part of the DLC I'll also add an additional rule where I cannot upgrade ammo, just so I have a reason to use Rex and the Damned Cowboy over the Elephant Gun.

Wee Toasters were a kinda cursed ngl, imagine finding one of those in a box. Game really does become easier when you have a capable posse with you. Another co-op run idea could be 'Can you beat Borderlands 2 as a Moxxi Simp?' One element per simp with the main simp getting an element + the Creamer Kiss of Death grenades, and Moxxi's Endowement (which is useless) for the relic. As for solo, maybe a 'Can you beat Borderlands 2 as a Loot Homie' run could be fun? Stock up with Legendary/Pearl weapons before run, as well as with e-tech relics with the condition that with every death you have to drop the weapon, grenade and relic you're using and you have to use a different a different weapon. Also only one weapon, grenade, relic combo per life.

@@LilGasmask a law & order melee krieg playthrough would be pretty cool to watch, with slag, its what I usually used to use on my krieg even though it falls off in op mode, I would suggest using the grognozzle with it to enhance the lifesteal, alternatively grognozzle + hide of terrormorphous/captain blades rifle with 300% melee could be fun never tried that myself but the melee damage would be insane.

22:00 that's a myth actually. A soldier would pretty easily be able to tell whether they were firing a blank by the recoil, and it was considered more humane to have everyone shoot the prisoner since they'd be more likely to die instantly

I've seen normal constructors spawn in the Wilhelm fight, they only spawn if you take a really long time in the fight. I've seen them in both solo and duo play. In solo, I was farming Wilhelm and I afked after a kill and when I came back the constructor (low level) was tickling my level 50 character. In the duo run, me and my friend were playing an allegiance run, tediore Gunzerker and Jakobs Commando. That's why the fight took so long. It is also probably a sort of random spawn thing too, idk. It's a rare encounter, to be sure.

Fun fact, if you’re lagging/rubber banding badly enough in BL2 you can use multiple Melee Overrides before the game processes it and puts you on cooldown. This is most notable with Maya’s slag orbs, I used to measure lag by how many orbs I could throw consecutively

It’s not that I’m new to Borderlands, it’s just that I play it casually. There are very few games that I do play on the hardest setting, let alone even try discovering what that hardest setting is, because I play most games to get immersed in the story. Some games I play on an average difficulty setting due to still wanting some challenge, meanwhile others I play on the easiest difficulty just to really get a feel for the raw emotion. Notable games that I do play exclusively in harder or hardest difficulties include Dying Light 2, Rage 2, Cyberpunk 2077, and Fallout 4. The first run I did for all 4 of them were all in the easiest setting. The 4 of them are also games I want to experience a gruelling challenge in, or experience a more-realistic survival experience with (Fallout 4, of course, being modded to hell and back to experience such a thing). Borderlands games, on the other hand? They’re not the most serious of games to begin with, and I’d rather have fun with them than let them become a grindfest while dealing with very-tough enemies. So I do get it, you’re putting an extreme edge on just for the speedrun’s sake - since doing that earns you serious fame in the community - but I think I’ll just play on easy or normal.

that right there at 25:30? that is probably the first time in my life that I have *EVER* seen someone acknowledge that playing with lag is, in fact, not what one would describe as an easy or relaxing experience. and I'm old enough to remember janky phone company internet...which weirdly enough was easier to deal with than comcast lag is today, for some reason the newer a game is the worse it gets at dealing with anything over 30 mlliseconds of ping before it just breaks down, throws a tantrum, and spirals around tighter and tighter in it's own head in a cycle of denial until it blows up and starts screaming "HACKER!" at you. let alone the 300+ ping I get on a _good_ day. ...seriously, how the frik was Dialup more reliable than the best internet I can get in a major college town? I've seen worse download speeds this week than I usually saw with a "24kbps" (~8kbps in real numbers) modem because unlike comcast the dialup modem had close to zero packet loss and data corruption.

a proper challenge idea: Can you beat Borderlands 2 as a dragon? (UVHM and not OP10) play as Krieg, specced into Hellfire Halitosis, with a purple melee override relic and the fireball grenade mod equipped (shield and COM are up to you) and as always, no guns allowed (dragons dont have hands)

Here's an idea for a challenge if you aren't sick of the Pre-Sequel: Can you beat TPS with only Wilhelm's Cyber Commando skills? Basically, you can only deal damage with the Power Fist, Termination Protocols, and Vengeance Cannon, as well as using Wolf & Saint if you'd like or if the challenge is too hard without them.

Hear me out: What if you played BL2 with friends, but anyone who dies leaves the game (unless maybe you die, in which case stream could end or something), but you can have new players from Twitch chat join in if they donate at least $5 or something. In other words, Can you beat BL2 Co-op with permanent death? Or alternatively, Can you beat BL2 in a Nuzlocke? (I could heal you guys pretty good with the Bane Maya from your first challenge run)
