Best “cheap” mic I’ve used, and still use is the Lauten 220. It is $300, but honestly for the quality, the price is bangin if you really want a professional sound for a non professional price lmaoo. Also the MXL V76, shits only $70-$100 depending on where you get it from. That Neuman everyone’s goal tho 😫

go to your audio driver preferences in FL/whatever, set your audio driver to ASIO, open your driver preferences and lower the input buffer size, this will reduce latency at the cost of higher CPU usage (only a concern if you have a very very potato CPU)

The AT2035 is perfect for recording vocals, but DRY vocals. Ive got 2 and 2 AT2040 mics as well.

For me I drop the high ends with an eq and also use a noise gate (for background noise) and record with presets - everything else is done in post for me

well the first mic (the blue yeti) was recorded with no interface because its a usb mic. i 100% suggest getting an xlr mic but make do with what you got!
