As an absolutely ass Lili player, all the patch really means for me is that I have to cool it on the 1,1 string. That just means I’ll use 1,2 more😅

1, 1 is my go to cause of the mixup options either 1,1,d2 or 1,1,3. Now 1,1 is unsafe and we have to commit the 50/50 can't do much about pokes for lili

In tekken 8 i started playing Lily while waiting for Lydia. But I liked the character and I'm not going to drop it because of a nerf

I still think lili is still strong. Heck I started playing her again as a secondary. It’s like you said either they adapt or die.

Losing your best tool for the best/only oki set up. Oki is super integral to her entire kit as it was kind of mid. This is a hard nerf. Lili mains are used to having a shitty character tho. She was hot garbage in Tekken 7. And one person was performing well with her in a tournament and we couldn’t have that. Anyways they buffed Kazuya and gave King a wavedash from smash bros melee. So I uninstalled. I’m really starting to appreciate the SF6 approach to balance. Because MK1/Tekken 8 style updates are just awful. Clunky and add more problems than whatever they’re trying to solve.

Man you can’t really compare the balance of a 2D fighting game to a 3D…

Agreed that Namco is historically messed up their balancing with patches. They did so well in Soul Calibur 6 i hope they figure it out with Tekken 8. The Street fighter devs have been amazing at balance.
